many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance
@TariqSinghKhan
@TariqSinghKhan 14 күн бұрын
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

Buffett and Berkshire's success has been the result of a cult of personality, even moreso than about investing smarts. This new guy is doubtless a smart and kind man, but people ain't gonna fill an arena to hear him speak.

@@ricasperger I'm sure he'll do fine, and shareholders will continue reaping rewards. But the days of BH being an American cultural phenomenon undoubtedly will end with Warren's passing. Greg Abel investment decisions won't move markets, and shareholder meetings will no longer be Woodstock for capitalists.etc. No one could have carried that torch, especially no one this low-key and boring.

Agreed. I personally believe Berkshire will be in the top 5 highest valued company in the US in the future. Berkshire will become the insurance alternative to equities in my opinion. It is simply a huge compounding machine guaranteed to preserve capital for centuries if stupid decisions are simply avoided.

As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.

Charlie is greatly missed! My eyes weren't dry when Warren said "Charlie?" accidentally when he meant to say "Greg?". Having said I really missed Charlie, I think Warren is known to make all the important decisions (good and bad ones) without waiting for nor requiring Charlie's approval. Still, it was so nice to having Charlie as sounding board or to chat when Warren needed and vice versa (re BYD and Costco all those years ago).

Yes, unfortunately it seems Buffett has largely ignored almost everything Charlie recommended over the last 10 years. Mohnish Pabrai mentioned several times that Charlie seemed very frustrated with Buffett’s capital allocation over the last many years. I guess that is what happens when you are the junior partner, and Buffett the senior partner holds all the real power. I had a great admiration for Charlie and learned far more from him compared to Warren.

US treasuries is “going to be” the safest! That means the global order is static. Just because the future has been good to you in the past does not mean it will continue to do so.
