Cable clamps are on backwards, you don't saddle a dead horse.

Looking at the Warrior and the Homesteader 36 , both 36” capacity sawmills, I’m struggling as to which would be the best mill for me. With only a $400.00 difference in cost , I’m assuming the homesteader line is a step above the Freedom mills ? Thanks.

Better than the warrior for sure. They've cheapened the warrior drive system, head support and downsizing a few other details. You can only take a cut 8.5 inches deep with the warrior so if you want to make any quarter sawn boards it's pretty close to useless. Neither one have any alternate locations for controls should you actually want it really portable - on a trailer! For the 3000 they want for a trailer, plus 400 shipping they should include a lot more. Right now they have a sellers market and it shows.

I just picked up my Warrior on Saturday. Still putting it together. One of the steps on your video is to drill out and countersink the top set screw in the pulley bearings. Watching the video, it really looks like they are drilling out the threads. I feel that LocTite will the trick here. Also, we haven't got to the blade yet, but got the motor going. I have what appears, great alignment, but my belt is flipping over. Any thoughts? Also, in the newer video of the Warrior assembly, ya'll left off the part about putting the throttle cable on.

Just wanted to let you know that every cable clamp you installed on this was backwards.. You never put the saddle of the cable clamp on the dead end of the cable.. In Canada if you were ever inspected by the Ministry of Labour they would give you a fine for every cable clamp you have on wrong....
