Back in the middle of 2018, I ventured down to Warrnambool City Council to check out the kerbside collection service, which is run at night and serviced by Wheelie Waste. I was expecting to find some newer trucks on the job, but was greeted by this old beast pulling out of the yard and start flipping Recycling bins just after 9:30pm. Once I got closer to the truck, it turned out to be Ex Citywide Manningham #205, and when the truck was directly under a street light, you could see the outline of old Manningham Leaf signage. It was nice to see something old getting a run and I wouldn't mind hearing a 07 Acco GenV working hard in the night if I were living in the area. This truck has in fact been retired after a quick registration check, I did film this truck working in Southern Grampians a couple of years after this video. The Warrnambool fleet now consists of a few newer Volvo Gen6s, which are a lot quieter and more efficient, but that also means the end of the line for some of the older Accos that have since been retired. Now the residents don't need to hear the sound of an 07 Acco blaring up the street at night when they sleep ;) Both Garbage and Recycling is taken to the nearby transfer station in Warrnambool which is run by Bartons Waste. Cheers to the legend driver for letting me record the truck, happy I got up there when I did and hope you all Enjoy it!!! ;) ;) ;)
