Warthog Caught By Leopard With Deadly Precision

An edited version of a previous video of Torchwood male leopard with a warthog, colours have been tweaked.
Leopard vs Warthog sightings like this show the strength of the leopard and resilience of the warthog. Raw scenes like this of animals daily fight to survive are a highlight of an African safari for many but can evoke mixed emotions in others. Warthog's are often able to fight back against leopards with their sharp tusks but this male leopard has learned to avoid the warthog's defences.

Male leopards really love going after warthogs, in spite of them being incredibly tough and very dangerous in their own right. Just in the last clip you mentioned Dewane having his nose broken by a warthog running into him and damn those lower tusks really look like commando daggers.

The leopard know exactly where to bite to make the quickest kill by blood loss since it is dangerous for him to go for the throat of a warthog this big. It found the sweet spot just between the frong legs !!

Population control. That's the whole purpose of a cat. Withouts cats the environment would be stripped clean of all its greenery and the eco system would suffer. Cats keep the populations in balance whether its a house cat or big cat, each cat is designed to do a different job and take down differrnt prey, but they all work the same way.

In a way these warthogs bring more suffering upon themselves by being so damn tough and hard to kill,damn.Poor thing goes out hard.I know the Leopard has to eat and avoid those tusk so can't execute a neck bite.

Well a larger cat like a Lion could most likely usually get the death bite in there,especially a male lion but those tusk have to be avoided so yea probably so,Crocs are the ambush bosses and their jaws are usually disabling enough to where they are in no danger really.

The bite around the neck is usually serves the purpose of subduing their prey and as long as they don't sense they are going to be injured and especially with lions where one has the bite held ,the others will just start eating.lol Pretty gruesome stuff to watch sometimes.

That big cat pose, lying half down front paws straight out flat on the ground is I think to pick up vibrations through their legs from prey walking by to locate and position them at night. If this is correct and their legs can pick up vibrations then by extension their front legs should be able to feel the absence of heartbeats in prey when that prey has died.
