@@grandpa203 It really sucks because Edwards isn’t really a boom or bust type player. Just off the eye test, he clearly can make it as a guaranteed starter for years to come AT THE LEAST. These stupid comments are the only reason this is even a concern. And I think Wiseman is another guy who will definitely be a guaranteed starter at the least once he fills out more. @@utkarshtyagi10 I watched Wiggins and Emiid play at Kansas. I remember Wiggins had the potential to be the face of the NBA someday if he ironed out some of his problems (ball handling, streaky shooter, doesn't seem to like contact) but some games he would flat out be an afterthought. He would just be running up and down the court put up like 6 points and play ok defense. I don't believe that will be a problem for Edward's he just needs work on his shooting for now and get accustomed to the NBA.

People need to relax, MJ, the greatest player ever to play basketball, first love was baseball. It doesn't mean anything just because he said he loves football. If he's good, he's good. That’s just misleading though. Yeah, he can love other things. People who think otherwise are lunatics. But he said something much more concerning. The thought that he doesn’t love basketball came into his head. He openly admitted that. He literally can’t watch the sport. How is he going to handle a tough stretch where shots aren’t falling, when he’s beat up, tired, 60 games into a season playing people just as athletic as him? How’s he going to hold up watching endless hours of film of a sport he doesn’t like? Nobody cares if he likes football like nobody (with a brain) cared mike liked baseball, but Mike clearly still loved basketball. It’s still to be seen how committed edwards is to basketball.

Two Things about Edwards 1. People were calling him Andrew Wiggins 2.0 but I disagree...Edwards first love is football and that shows by his aggression and passion on the basketball court. People questioned Wiggins motor coming out of Kanas. Edwards in the opposite he's almost all motor. 2. I was weary of those comments he made about Football and rapping....but after hearing Vince Carter on ESPN talk about how most of the young guys on Hawks don't watch basketball it makes more sense. This new generation is a bit different in that not alot of guys are "basketball junkies" meaning they eat, sleep and breath basketball. The fact that he doesn't is ok. T wovles will need to surround Edwards with some good vets to make sure he stays focus and develops his game

idk why him not liking basketball that much was such a big deal, you hear 100s of NFL players say they rather play other sports, and theres people who are real good at a trade or 9-5 job but would rather do something else.

yes but not one commonly called. Also maybe look at when he catches the ball, in realtime it looks like he catches the same time his left reaches the ground, not establishing a pivot until he jabs his right foot which is the pivot, allowing the left foot to drag.

I'm wondering if these should even be called? Does he really gain an advantage by slightly dragging his left foot before making his move? In slo-mo, it really looks like he's about to go right I guess.

I think there should be some pressure to win now in Minnesota, Coach. If they want to keep Towns going forward that is. He might want to move on at some point if they keep losing year after year. Also their 1st round pick is going to the Warriors next year so there's no reason to tank. I know it's top 3 protected, but they still have over 50% odds of losing the pick even if they have the worst record in the league. So yeah, they better try to win as many games as possible.

I think it was the right pick. However, to draft a wing with the first pick, then sign Malik Beasley...a wing...to a 3 year extension seems overlapping and as a timberwolves fan...a very timberwolves move.

faulty jump shots takes couple of years to fix. it is hard to change the mechanism. when young they have less strength and they settle for what works and it sticks. that fultz guy never have his form fixed, ball comes to mind. nba most of the time gets 1st picks wrong due to milllion reasons. they goofed up not selecting duncan who has the perfect form. he is gonna be number 1, 3 point shooter in NBA.

I'm not worried about Ant Man becoming a better player. He's a generational talent at the SG position. He's 6'5 225 pounds has the ball on the string with some of the same step back signature moves ala' James Harden who fit his physical profile. However, as far as his speed, quickness and explosive athleticism he's more like Zach Lavine which makes him an elite athlete with a packaged skillset. Everybody talks about his inefficiency but are missing the bigger picture: we have never seen a SG in college with his shot IQ. Edwards might not ever be a the dream player for analytics but he can get a bucket in ways that no other current SG not named CJ, Devin or Harden can. he more like Kobe, not he most efficient but when you need a scoring run or somebody to take the game over nobody can stop him. Besides, the kid has been through a lot. He lost his mother and grandmother to cancer, only went to GA to stay close to home and has made questionable statements about his love of the game. It seemed like he just wanted to excel to make his two mother's proud, now that they are gone it's on to the next challenge which for him he said he like rapping and football! LOL

I don’t think it was the right pick especially since the Wolves re-signed Malik Beasley who’s a better fit next to DLo than Anthony. I feel like they should traded down with a team with multiple FRPs like the Knicks and get wing depth/defenders.
