Gotta be real, I really like the look of Damascus. I do agree it would be better animated but I very often just inspect guns with Damascus to admire the way it looks

Honestly at this point, it just an excuse for me to play the game. Once I have Damascus, I might give myself the next excuse to play it, like obsidian for all guns. But if I don't or I do get that. I'll finally drop the game.

I don't think it's worth it. I already have ARs, SMGs, Snipers and Marksman rifles platinum, but I don't feel motivated to do the rest of the weapon categories (maybe someday). However, Dark Aether seems worth it to me cuz it's an animated camo, plus completing the challenges in zombies is WAYYYY easier than doing the challenges for Damascus. Cold War weapons have taken over the Modern Warfare weapons now in warzone, so having Damascus is kinda pointless. Unlocking it would mean you're probably just bored and there's nothing else to do. UPDATE: Vanguard Atomic Camo is worth it. It's basically Damascus but animated and it looks nice

Personally, I feel the camo is worth going for. Like for me it looks great and better than obsidian since Damascus keeps some of the detail of your gun/gun’s blueprint, whereas obsidian covers everything on the gun. It also gives me something to do when I play MW, and it is not the hardest mastery camo. It’s just very tedious and time consuming. Black Sky from IW on the other hand… very, very difficult. AR, LMG, PISTOL, and Sniper need 200 kills THEN 160 headshots, and the other minor challenges are very annoying, like 25 longshots for AR, Sniper, get kills with 15 percent of your mag on LMG, 20 double kills and 20 3 Killstreaks, and the launchers. My biggest bone to pick with the launchers is the howitzer, this shitty grenade launcher requires 200 kills, 160 direct impacts, 5 double kills, 50 no primary kills, destroy 15 scorestreaks, 30 longshots, and 20 killstreaks. And there’s 35 guns, not mention you also have to do all the classic weapons as well… sheesh.

Im halfway trough the grind and i agree that it looks dissapointing, but i just wanna come with my friends in WZ and say “Oh look, i have damascus lol” I would rather have DM ultra, but i dont like that challenge of defeating 5 enemies without dying, if 3 are sometimes painful, 5 are insanity Anyways, see you in a couple of weeks with damascus camo and the bad joke of “Now that I have damascus, I’m gonna pretend i like it”

Honestly demascus has a glow to it. If you watch yourself in your death cams sometimes the gun is glowing and it’s sick as fuck. I have it and I think it was worth it. Plus anyone who knows what demascus is they respect it.

The only purpose of doing the grind is to feel proud of whay you really achieved, what you've gone through and to prove that you are a good player. You explained exactly what we feel about having Damascus (or any mastery camo)

I personally think getting guns gold and getting Damascus was easier in MW2019 than in Cold War or Vanguard as in MW the challenges weren't as hard as in Cold War but they were just tedious however in Vanguard and Cold War they were both. (edit: The getting kills with the enemies behind cover and the killing enemies detected by UAV's challenges in Cold War drove me insane) Plus I had so much more fun grinding Damascus because I personally think Damascus looks beautiful compared to DM Ultra as on console, DM Ultra doesnt look as great as on PC. IMO, the grind is worth it.

honestly, I find the camo to be genuinly hideous to look at and personally i find the gold camo or the obsidian camo to be the best looking mastery camos cosmetics wise. now I know many people like the look of it, but i really dont think its worth it.

Very irrelevant now but the fastest way to get level up guns in cold war was WarZone. Cold wars guns took way long to level up in my opinion but I also only did the zombies grind for Cold War

I’m an artist so I appreciate when things look pretty or look visually striking. Animated camos are great but something about me really appreciates how Damascus looks from a visual perspective by not being animated. It’s not worth the grind to get it at all but for me personally I think it looks great. I do prefer DM Ultra and Dark Aether to it though

For me it was worth it. My whole life I've played racing games like forza and gran turismo. I had BO1 but I wasn't really educated on the game but it was the first game I really played online pvp. So when I got 2019 I was like "I'm not gonna do this...." Next thing I know, I was bitten by the grind bug and actually went and got all the weapons I could gold then all of a sudden some platinum thing popped up then I was really addicted. This is a shooting game and I come from racing games and when I finally did the launchers (lol took me weeks to decide to do it) it felt good and I took the clip from the last guy I blew into space with a pila and his sentry gun. I felt complete lol but I even went and did the dlc weapons too, I only have the crossbow, swords, and kali sticks left...I even did all the reticles lol...Idk it just seems like every time I play the game I need a reason to complete something...I just feel like playing it for shits and giggles would get that sbmm in your ass quick lol

Damascus looks okay but was arguably the hardest mastery grind so far. If you’re going purely for the look of the camo, then no. Not worth it at all. You have to want it for the prestige of it.

Noo obsidian hardly looks good as a replacement to damascus... it literally shows no detail apart from texture of which you can't properly see unless in direct sunlight or if you use high specs and graphics on a PC. Damascus definitely isn't worth the reward for its grind length but it is faarrrr better than obsidian and I personally love it a lot, it grew on me the more I looked at it.

I just need 1 more launcher and the knife. For CW I need all the primaries only, I'm just going back to finish them cause I'm bored with my life Edit:mostly just to flex on these Bizznatches

Imma continue grinding it. I’m more than half done I ain’t quitting 🤣 I think the camo looks nice and I plan on using it in WZ and MW SnD so it’s reason enough for me to continue grinding it. Got MMRs/Snipers done, Shotguns done, ARs done, Handguns done, Melees done, and I have the PKM in the LMG category done and the PILA in the launcher category done. Almost done the Strela and the other 2 launchers are already max level. Still need to fully level the other 3 base LMGs and the P90 in SMG category. Saving SMGs for last so I can finally have fun on this ride 🤣

Bruh, the camo is definitely worth it, even if it’s worse than the other mastery camos since they’re animated, Damascus is still superior to every other camo, so it’s still worth it for the camo. Bruh, use a blueprint for the Damascus part, and dm ultra and aether hardly cover any part of the gun. You’re argument for realism doesn’t make sense in MW because while they do have saw bundles and anime bundles, technically, that is realistic because an operator can look like that or do the that irl. Oh no, there’s 1 camo in the shop for a single weapon that is basically Damascus… that’s a non-issue my guy
