Wash and Go Demonstration | ENBBA Naturals and Jello Shot

A few months ago I introduced the "Topper Gel" by ENBBA Naturals to be used with other botanical based, water soluble products for styling the Hydrate & Define, a.k.a. Wash and Go hairstyle.
In this video tutorial I show you how to style using the ENBBA Naturals Styling Gel as the "Base Gel" with the Jello Shot Curl Definer by Ecoslay as the topper. The results are firm hold with elongated curl definition that remains pretty much the same throughout the entire week.
ENBBA stands for Embrace Natural Beauty By Abena. ENBBA Naturals is a line of water-soluble hair care products specifically designed to hydrate and define tight curls. While products for ENBBA Naturals have been in development and testing at Embrace Natural Beauty Salon since 2020, one styling gel has emerged as a winner to address some of the concerns presented by my clientele. Maintaining curl definition during high humid climates was the highest priority.

I never thought to use Enbba as a base gel! I was hesitant to use Jello Shot with Enbba but I’ll try this on my next wash day. Thank you!

I tried the combo and the Jello Shot made my set super crunchy 😞 but at least it will last awhile. However, I love the ICH and Enbba combo!

Jell-O shot definitely is tight and I’ve used and applied it alone with lots of water cause I wasn’t getting slip but curl setting it with mousse gives me the slip I need. I love to know that ennba can be used as a base because I had this combo in mind.

The steaming is what I do when I take my bonnet off after showering and I shake it out and my wash n gos last 7-14 days

Even using Jello shot with Kinky Curly custard underneath I get a very stiff hold which works for me in the summer. If Ennba is considered a strong hold gel as well, my hair would be like cement using these 2 together. As it is, I found that I can no longer use Jello shot now that the weather has turned colder and drier b/c it makes my hair look and feel very crispy.

It has been a few years since I have used Jello Shot on my own hair but I used it with clients year round before introducing the ENBBA Naturals Styling Gel. I do prefer a softer set but someone looking for crisp, this combo is right up their alley.

In this demo, you waited an hour later to apply Jello Shot. Was this due to “life be life-ing” or part of your technique in using Jello Shot?

I do my washngo pretty much the same way with any product combination. The break in between allows me to bathe, get dressed and have a bite to eat without my hair in my face. After I sit under the dryer my hair stays down around my face for the next two to three hours. It's just a comfortable process for me.
