Top Load Washing Machine won't Drain or Spin? In many cases this repair can be made in 5 minutes and I will show you how to do it with only a Philips screw driver and a zip tie. This is a very common problem with Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper, Maytag and other top load Washing Machines. This machine is a Whirlpool. The washer will fill and agitate the clothes but will not drain or spin. The most common reason for this problem is that the Lid Switch on the Washer has gone bad and needs to be repaired of replaced. Switches can go bad because the glue that holds the plastic switch cover weakens and the cover splits apart causing the switch not to engage.
In many cases you can do this easy switch repair... and you will be up and running in no time for little to no money!
