Washburn RB2002 Hammerhead 4 string bass demo and review through Fender Rumble Stage 800

Жыл бұрынHere's a cool bass. It's a 2003 or so Washburn RB2002 Hammerhead. It features a solid ash body with transparent emerald green finish, maple neck, rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, high mass modern bridge, MusicMan style humbucker in the bridge slot and a beefy single coil pickup closer to the neck. The bass has an active 2 band preamp with volume, pickup pan, bass and treble controls. The bass has a brand new set of Dunlop 40-100 nickel wound bass strings. I'm playing through a Fender Rumble Stage 800 bass amp using the Redhead amp setting with the 810 Pro cabinet setting. It's recorded direct using the POST XLR out.

I am glad did a review on this bass. This is my favorite bass from Washburn. I love the sound and the pick up set up. I have the same color as yours.

I bought this one back in 2004 and still have it with me. I've got the wooden version of it. So versatile and really good deep bass sound. I play it through an Ashdown EVO-II. Love it.

I've been playing this bass a lot lately. I like the tones with the pickup pan just a little bit away from middle toward the single coil pickup.

Volume, pickup pan and active bass and treble controls.

@@Gottacacheemalll Also maybe called pickup blend. In the exact middle, both pickups are equal volume. You can turn the knob to get a blend of pickups like mostly the next pickup but just some of the bridge pickup. It's a lot more flexible than just a pickup switch and it's just one knob vs. something like a Jazz Bass where you might have to adjust both volume knobs to get the tone you want.
