@@JOEZEP54 alas, I haven't the strength to torque the water hoses off their connection. I will most likely hire someone to so this, I was trying to avoid the extra expense. I am still contemplating my next move, while my laundry 🙃 piles up... something's gotta give, hopefully the hoses. 🙏🏼
@JOEZEP54

@@cecilybest9426 Try spraying white vinegar on the faucet where the hose is connected. Do this several times. You could even wrap a vinegar soaked rag around it. Leave it for a couple of hours. Then use the channel lock plyers. Be careful not to put more pressure then is necessary. If this does not help the next step I would use WD40 or better yet penetrating fluid. Let me know if any of this helped.

With your advice - filled with wisdom and expertise - I am feeling much more equipped. Thank you sooo very much. I will tackle this after I shop for more vinegar after church. LOL Apparently there has been a shortage on Oahu. Costco and many stores I have look, have been sold out for months. I EXPECT to find it today, or order it if not. I have plenty of the Applecider kind, and good ole WD40 as well. In the meantime, do you think it's okay to start with the WD40?
@JOEZEP54
@JOEZEP54 2 жыл бұрын
@@cecilybest9426 The vinegar works well if you have hard water ( usually from a well) the wd 40 will help to lubricate. You can start with either. If your water supply is from a well I would start with the Applecider vinegar.

@@youtubeuploads7208Thank you and you're welcome. Sorry to hear about your daughter, hope she recovers quickly. If your dryer just hums but does not spin, after pulling the plug do what you have to to get to the motor. Most units have to be disassembled. I mention this because years back I had a dryer that did that. I got another one to replace it. I was curious & took the old one apart or should I say destroyed it during the disassembly only to find that everything was fine, but over the years link got past the filter & was keeping the motor from spinning. A real simple fix but who knew? There is not any way to clean this at least on this particular dryer but to disassemble it. My wife is a stickler about cleaning the screen every time dryer is used but lint still got pass the filter. Hope this is of some help.

Hi Joanna, thank you for viewing. As for the noise your machine is making I cannot tell without being there to do any kind of diagnostics. I had an older Kenmore that needed oil added to the transmission. Also you can have a gear that is stripped or a plastic coupler that connects to the motor that is damaged. The best I can advise you is to be as precise as possible in your KZfaq search. There should be a video that mimics your washer. Let me know how you make out. Stay well.

Hey Paul I know what you mean. We have all been there at one time or another. Although I try to avoid it when it does happen I write it off as the cost of an education. Just there are times when that “education” has a really stiff price tag. Stay well.

In addition to the hose filters, there is an inlet filter that canbe clogged, especially if the hose is as bad as yours was. Disconnect the hose and use needle nose pliers to pull the filter straight out. Easy.

Did you check to see if the old filter is still in the Inlet valve? If not you may have to change or just clean out the inlet valve. Here is a link for it if you should need one amzn.to/3YYsHzO Stay safe, Joe Z

If you disconnected the cold water line from the washer & get cold water out of it, I would the check the control.

Hi Kitty Jo, thank you for stopping by. When you go to change it, just pull out the old washer/screen & put in the new one. If the old one is stuck use a screwdriver to pry it out, be careful not to damage the hose end it is in. You can order new washer/screens at : amzn.to/3d8oenW Stay safe, Joe Z

Why would you not recommend shutting off the water valve first. My entire laundry area is water logged now. Terrible video.

Dr Liz, not sure if this comment is meant as a joke or if you really need a 123....step by step instructional aid but at 2:10 I do mention that I shut the faucet then disconnected the hose.... As I mention in my description this is how I go about getting it done.. I do recommend watching an entire video or 2 and using some common sense before tackling any endeavor. Be Safe, Joe Z

The water on mine will come out on "cold" "warm" and "hot" settings without filling properly. But shuts off completely when switched to the "Cold tap" setting. And now the agitator cycle is ending quicker than usual and drains for the rinse cycle but stops there completely. Could a clogged water valve be causing all these problems? I really need some help on this desperately. Thank you

I am not sure but it sounds like you may have a couple of issues. The " drains for the rinse cycle but stops there completely " issue I am working on my washer this morning that is doing the same. I thought is was the clutch but it turned out to be the transmission. I am not an appliance repair tec, what I know is from working on my units & taking some facebook free washers & dryers apart to analyze how or what makes them work. As far as it not filling I would check inlet screens to the water valve & the screens at the end of the hoses. Next these items would require a multimeter & the wiring diagram, ( usually located in the top panel of the washer), the lid switch may also cause this issue, the water level control (pressure) switch and the water temperature switch also can affect the fill. I know this is a lot but it is what I would check. Let me know if any of this help. Stay safe, Joe Z
