Do you see black splatter under your washer? Oil or grease leaking from under your washing machine. The bearings are going out or are totally out or shot. You need to replace the top and bottom bearing for the washing machine drum.

Thank you for confirming my exact diags thought. ScantPear tore thru ya for no reason. Anyway if you still check these posts I wanna bust ur chops in the Splatter vs Spatter controversy...unless I'm wrong and it only pertains to blood (Dexter) lol! I have a whirlpool wtw5000 and my wife said there must be change or something bouncing around in there somewhere only to find a Spatter of something on the bottom of the agitator, which was loose. I tried to clean off the bottom with running water only to determine it was grease, dang, bad bearing! So ordering parts and a hopeful successful repair. Kudos, thanks for the vid

Hey Bundy, anyway just checking, maybe all can be diagnosed this way, not sure if you are familiar with whirlpool but the only thing I've seen is the entire "Gearcase" and not just the bearing so I'm thinking a sealed unit??? idk yet, we'll see. Soooo if you have any ideas all would be appreciated. Thanks

What happens is the top seal fails and water gets in there. After some time the water rusts the bearings and they will fail. When that happens you will see grease on the bottom and maybe the top (not to sure about grease coming out of the top seal, but I guess it could happen) but once that happens you have to replace the top and bottom bearings, the top and bottom seals and the crankshaft. Do you have grease at the bottom of your washer?

Yes. All over the floor. I replaced the top and bottom bearings and shaft, etc. Now, when the machine runs, you cant even heat it!!! Thanks so much for this video. I didnt think I could do it, but I did!
