The main points. Nic grabs tubes. Girl touches Nic. Nic punches girl. Dante punches Nic. Somebody slaps Nic. Aj pushes Nic's back, gets stabbed. Nic gets up and stabs Rhylie. Nic turns to Tony, stabs him twice. Isaac shoves Nic, gets stabbed. Nic stabs Dante. Nic walks away. Nic started both aggressions by grabbing tubes and punching girl. He stabs two people who never posed threat. He stabbed 5 people only after he hit the girl. At no time did boys threaten Nic with violence. Rude and vulgar? Absolutely. But never did they pose a threat of violence. Everything changed the moment Nic punches girl and starts the assault. Nic is at fault. It's that easy.

I disagree, at every step he started and accentuated the violence. Don't get be wrong, the teens were being ass holes, but there was no call for grabbing their inner tubes and legs, punching or slapping Madison, pulling a knife, and killing and seriously harming with a weapon.

it's not youtube, probably kare 11's choice. or they only get audio from court microphones. not sure if they can remix mono audio into stereo, but that would be nice because it's hard listening to it through one ear

And I can't lie, though no one deserves to be gutted, the whole river was full of a bunch of drunks that day and the teenage thugs were the worst. Awful kids. Just awful. Almost to the point of self-defense not being out of the question.

Imo it’s 1st degree premeditated. He was fondling the knife in his pocket before anyone got near him more than once. He had the knife in his hand hidden from view before he slapped/punched/shoved Madison. He didn’t even take a step back when the two Girls were telling him to step back. He stood his ground as he stated. A fearful peaceful person would have put their hands up & would have started walking backwards to get away. He was very intentional. Had he been fighting for his life the strikes would have been more random & not so intentional. The scariest thing is to see him immediately afterwards splashing the water in his inner tube like nothing happened. Absolute psychopath.

In the video the kids start right up saying he’s looking for little girls. Believe this is why the video was started. His friend said don’t go look for the phone because people will think you’re a pedophile. Nic, approached the boys and touched two of their legs. So…not bringing up the little girls comment immediately after seeing your best friend murdered, probably wasn’t top of mind.

Not guilty of all charges .. these younger men have zero respect for elders and this married man trying to enjoy the river with his wife and friends.. if he was looking at some of the women so what..what do they expect a man to do put blinders on..hell no. Does that make him a pedifile ..no it does not.. if i was being attacked by a mob in a river i would have to fight for my life to. I rest my case not guilty all charges. What a sad horrable thing and god bless families friends involved such a tragic event. 😢
