And now Auburn is in the final four. Crazy how this game of matchups is. Win by 1 to a 12, beat KU AND North Carolina by 20ish, and beat a very good Kentucky player WITHOUT one of their better players.

It's because the NET system is broken. This 12 seed team only lost to Kansas by 3 in Allen Fieldhouse (where they were undefeated this year, and every home court rankings I've found has the Phog at #1) Couple that with their perfect conference record, and they had no business being that far down in the seeding if Gonzaga was a 1 seed.

As an NMSU fan, I was so angry that Terrell Brown missed those free throws. But that team is talented and they are still talented with an amazing coach in Chris Jans.

If Auburn had lost this game it would have been notable for a few hours but then they would have been forgotten about. Nobody would have been saying "aww man if only they had gotten past NM State they could have beaten Kansas, UNC and Kentucky to make the Final Four!" Gotta love March Madness.

But it did show the key sequence at 46 seconds remaining where Okeke was fouled several times ON PURPOSE and no foul was called. Okeke realizes he is not getting the call and is double-teamed, so he passes the ball into a subsequent turnover. I have not heard anyone mention the 2 trunovers at the end of the game becasue of the floor being slick under the basket (one TO happened to each team because of it). Crazy game. Glad my heart survived. Survive and move on. KU should be a good match-up. WAR EAGLE!

Not necessarily an Auburn fan but picked this team to go the championship game. The way they dominated the sec tournament was crazy and then they nearly lose to the agg's. If so my bracket would have been a bust but instead I ended up winning it.

Put yourself in that position, would you make those free throws? You're probably not a basketball player so you wouldn't understand the outstanding amount of pressure there is taking that free throw. Give that guy a break.

Lol They just won the s.e.c tournament title. Maybe New Mexico state is underated. They played Auburn tougher than Tennessee did... both times. Its sports though, games are crazy sometimes. Different matchups= different kinds of games.

These players in today's era can make 40 foot three's, falling away, with two defenders on them, however can't make a simple 13 feet, 9 inches shot with the only defense is the back rim. New Mexico State deserves to lose this one.
