In this video, I am comparing the two iconic Reverso models. The high horology watches delivers a lot for the money. Let's take a look at these Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Classic Duoface or Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Small Seconds to see which one might be the right watch for you.
I have been a big fan of Reverso, probably since the beginning of my watch collection journey. This watch always attracted me. Having these two incredible watches for review and comparison sparked my old feelings. I am now even considering replacing some of the watches from my collection in order to get a JLC Reverso.

I have the Tribute green and it’s become my favorite watch. It’s so understated yet elegant and classy. It was my 40th birthday present to myself and hope to keep it forever

It depends how dressy or sporty the rest of your collection is .. I got the tribute small seconds in burgundy and I truly love it

I have the duoface but with the black leather strap which make it more dressy. I need to get brown or even the canvas strap to make it a more daily wear / casual watch. Good review.

I would go for the duoface, but medium size - I think its looks more elegant. But the recent price hike in the last 3 years of more than 5000 Euros in Europe is quite a thing.

Yes, I think that the price went up by about 40% since I made the video. The Medium Duoface would be amazing.

The Reverso is a tremendous watch as the brand is. However I would never take a Reverso on travel. Why ? Too expensive for that unless a limo is waiting for me and strolling me around. Beautiful watches, good video 👍

Price just got jacked up nearly 3k in Canada. I was interested 4 months ago before the price jump, so now I’m out. JLC, in my opinion, really messed this up with that increase. Same old 42 hour power reserve movement. Not even an upgrade.

I totally agree that the prices are ridiculous now. Before the increases JLC was a good value proposition. Not anymore.

One of the most iconic and classiest watch references of all time, couldn't go wrong with wither, But for me theres nothing like the ultra-thin cases , the way it wears, you almost forget its on your wrists, therefore tribute is my pick.

A very informative description of both Reverso's. I totally agree with the reasons for your choice as I have recently puchased a Reverso Classic Duoface with the brown leather strap for informal day and evening wear reasons, although I wouldn't say no to the Tribute's style and that superb colour. We are lucky to have a choice.

I added the Classic large dual face to my collection. I purchased another strap that gives it a completely different look. Also added the green face Polaris to my collection, love the JLC brand. Thank you for your wonderful content!

This is the exact two I was stuck between, I went with the duoface as the Arabic dial is so easy to dress down but the tribute, while beautiful is always quite dressy. Cheers for the video 👍🏼

I had the Reverso classic medium Monoface small seconds and I ended up selling it for the Tribute Duoface. I do miss the smaller case size and those Arabic numerals, but if I could only have one Reverso, I would pick the Tribute as it leans more on the heritage design. You are right however that the Classic arabic is more versatile while Tribute is more dressy. I wouldn’t mind getting the medium classic Duoface in the future 😄

I own both the 1931 Tribute and a 976 Reverso. It'd a JLC Reverso you can't go wrong with any of them.

great review! And i agree with you that casual would be the classic while dressy one would be the tribute. Although, I'd probably go for the duo face tribute. I just find it weird to get a reverso without duo face. When/why would you ever flip to a blank metal face. Also, i find it risky to wear a 30m water resistant watch as casual wear.. Opinions?

If you are not planning to swim it should hold well the regular everyday use.

@@OneManReviews the duo has that cool factor, whilst I agree the one with steel caseback is true to original, these days I really don't think there are many people that actually play Polo with their Reverso on. So a Reverso that either has a complication or transparent back has that cool factor. To me the duo is the reverso to own, it's such a cool feature to have another colored dial that can track a second timezone in one watch.

I agree Reverso models are very tempting but.. aren’t both too large in size on the wrist. Looks strange.

Yes. The prices made quite a hike recently. I think they did two major increases in the last 6 months or so.

I love that dual personality watch! but I see the single sided one does give a more classic and classy feel and look. i would have not noticed that aside from your video. very good eye. that helps me. Three watches im choosing from, and they seem really odd and different, but to me they are all unique and would be my first watch: Cartier medium Santos in all steel, Glashutte Original pano moonphase in white, or this Tribute in some color, not certain. All different but all fit my personality in different ways. I probably will buy 2-3 watches in the next few years, but for now, just one that will be $10k US or less.

Your reverse is really beautiful. I have always wanted to buy one, but I have always heard that JLC's quality control is not very good, and watches are prone to problems, such as a significant decrease in travel time accuracy and workmanship issues around a year. Do you only have accuracy issues? thank you

Not at all, Christian Bale wore it in Batman Begins, and many celebs like Jay Z, Dicaprio and even king Charles have worn the Reverso, fat thick wrists suit the watch, keep in mind that it's a dress watch
