When you did your Komi lift did you also replace the upper control arms?

@@denim_joey Nope. No issues. I purposefully wanted to avoid this. I will be putting on 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers soon. With just a bit of minor shaving on the mud flaps, I'll be soild.

I got the same lift for my 22 peo4x as well and get it installed tomorrow. Did you happen to use the leaf spring that came with the kit? I’m not going to have it installed because as this video shows, it creates a whole new rake with the rear still noticeably higher than the front. Think not installing the leaf will level it out and still keep the rear high enough as it is stock. Would like to know if you used the leaf that came with the kit and how did it come it out for you??

@@alexvilla613 I used everything. I like having the rear slightly higher, but this will put you approximately .5" or slightly less from level. I love its stance. For me, the back isn't nearly as high as what it was. It really looks good.

@@freshwood4888 nice. I just had mine done and opted out on the leaf spring and its sitting perfectly level and a lil higher than I expected. But wow the ride and flex on those Konis is like night and day compared to the 4600’s. The 4600’s felt goof but stiff on bumps. I’m feeling you on absolutely loving this lift on my truck. Can’t wait to take it off road and later pair it with more aggressive tires

Yeah pretty much, but the 2 gen of the frontier and 1 gen titan are almost identical, so people have put the 5.6 in them and they are unstoppable afterwards. The 5.6 dropps right in even the transmissions line up.

@Dale Phillips thats what i loved about the dodge Dakota, it would come with the 4.7 v8 and had tons of power for the size. I get being fule efficient and all but the option for more power would be nice.

@@dalephillips8250 I like my 3.8 L mated to the 9 speed jatco in the 3rd gen. It's got plenty of Horsepower and torque. In my humble opinion, I wouldn't add the weight of a v8 to a trail rig without first trying it out with what's already there. It's already a pretty capable set up.

Titanswap refers to the suspension. What you're describing is a VK swap. :) Brennan at Driven Desire will more than likely be the first to VK swap a 3rd gen Frontier.

You would have to use a Titan sway bar up front. Most people who Titan swap do not plan on towing though so sway bar delete is done at the same time.

Our kits are on the website for the 2020+ models. You can take a look there. Both gens of Titan fit though for some stuff

We recommend the Fox or the Koni for a smoother ride, you can't go wrong with either.

the engine swap is commonly known as a VK swap. titan swap is generally just the suspension.

We do installations!

The inners were found with some research but may not be the best option for a long term Titan swap. That’s why we brought the tie rod extensions to market for the 3rd gens. It’s not as simple as using Titan inner and outer tie rods with the new generation unfortunately.

Nothing says that you can't do the swap to get the travel and articulation and still stick to a more conservative tire size. You're still gaining massive center clearance in the front end compared to a conventional 6 inch lift kit on the same truck and way more flex!

I can confirm so far with full titan swap with dimondback bed cover,throax rack, cbi front covert bumper, 12000lbs wench syn rope, cbi prinsu upper rack, I have factory tires still I am getting around 19.5 intown and approx 18 miles to work and when I go freeway only getting 20-22 mph still that's not fully loaded down with gear tho.

it's not false advertising, it's literally the term within the community. the VK v8 swap is called a VK swap. there's zero custom modification needed aka you swap the parts from a titan to the frontier.
