Vaquero is a horse mounted livestock herder. What kawasaki was implying was Doma vaquera, the Spanish tradition of the "working rider." Which is what kawasaki believes the market for the Vaquero is for, the working man, on a normal budget, instead of the steeper price of the traditional Harley. But Doma vaquera doesn't come off the tongue as easy as just saying Vaquero.

Vaquero means I'm smarter than any Harley rider and actually have money in my pocket to enjoy wherever I end up.

I bought a brand new 21' this year ( 22'). First bagger I've ever had, and I like it. Already put over 950mi on it, no hi-way pegs, no driver backrest, but I did buy the backrest/luggage rack & the power outlet for the fairing. Never had a driver's backrest, I'm only 5'7" tall, and it's really comfortable as is. Did change the windshield though, made it a little taller, helped w/the buffeting on the hi-way. Been riding a 79' KZ1000 ST for years w/only a sport fairing that I added. Still love the KZ, but the Vaquero is gaining ground, especially riding on cheesegrater pavement since they've been redoing my local hi-way for the past month. And the beast just ROLLS on the Interstate. Not as smooth as my 79' GL1000 w/the Vetter fairing, but more balls to it. Just need to work out the windshield height, maybe an ECU mod to make it smoother, more power. I've seen a few videos of people who do that for this bike. Tempted because, as I said, I rode the KZ for years.😉😁

That bike is everything I would ever want to grow into as a forever bike, but after doing so much research of opinion there is no such thing as a forever bike until you're sure it'd your last, I guess ? That SUCKS that the screen doesn't work because it looks SO cool, so I guarantee the present owner has it working. AWESOME BIKES.

I'm glad willie g is out of harley davidson so they can finally catch up with the rest of the world. The sportster S is a slap in his face for holding the company back for all these years

My only thing with reclining that far back is you can’t see the road well over the fairing...at least from the looks of it on the video. You can’t see obstacles in the road. Those grips are awesome.

What grips were those? I have some kuryaken ISO that look like those. I like mine over stock; they take the vibes out. I might go to the Avon Air after, a bit smaller diameter.

If I ever graduate to a touring bike, these are high on my list. The aesthetics of a Street Glide for a fraction of the price, yet seems to be better made.

I wish I never bought my 2015 vaquero! It's such a pile of shit my rotors are totally warped with only 10,000 miles on my bike along with a issue where out of nowhere it looses power or runs like it's only on 1 cylinder and the idle goes up and down on it's own ! The dealer has no clue why it does it I'm selling it asap .
