I have owned a 2010 Voyager for 6 years. It's been a great bike. I've ridden it all over the country with zero issues.

The Voyager is the smoothest and most powerful bike i've ever ridden. I had 4 inch cobra slash downs on it and she sounds awesome hell of a ride!!

Best upgrade for the voyager / vaquero is the IVANS tune.. freedom performance exhaust, roaring toyz intake. Really opens them up. They're great bikes. I have a 2011 vaquero

I have a 2006 Vulcan Classic LT and it has been a great bike, low maintenance and very nimble for a bagger. My only gripe about the Voyager is the lack of modern electronics (Nav, Bluetooth, etc.). Other than that, I don’t think you can go wrong with any Kawasaki.

I have the 2010 version with 90k/kms on the clock. I bought it new and rode it daily on a 200km commute until I retired in 2013. After that I went on many weekend highway rides. It is a great bike for that purpose. A 6 speed transmission with cruise control and a deep comfortable seat make it ideal for a long day's riding. The tank is 20 litres so with judicious use of the gears and the cruise control you'll get 300kms or more from a tank. When the orange warning light comes on you have about 50kms left. There's plenty of storage both in the luggage and the 2 glove boxes in the dash. There is plenty of information from the instruments including fuel range which changes constantly based on speed, gear and terrain. Two trip meters and and odometer as well as a plethora of warning lights including for the cruise and ABS. The audio is fine AM/FM - we don't have satellite radio in Australia. You can attach a music player through an auxillary connection and play your own music through the bikes on board audio. It's a heavy bike at 400kg (900lbs) and not one for inexperienced riders or one you'd buy to do the daily commute unless ride is on the highway or open road. It's modeled on a Harley only brand new it is half the price ride away in Australia. There is an issue with heat on the right side from the exhaust. Sometime after 2010 Kawasaki added an extra fan behind the seat on the right hand side to draw the heat away and push it out behind the rider on the left hand side. I haven't ridden the newer model so I don't know how effective that arrangement has been.

I bought my 2017 Vulcan Voyager...rode it all over the state of Ohio and to WV...zero issues.

Kawasaki Voyager seem to be a excellent choice. I nvr lug my engine, thats hard on it, once u get down to 2,000 rpms its time to down shift.

Great bike, plenty of aftermarket support (fuel controller, intake, exhaust, seats ect..)

Someday I hope to get a Vulcan Voyager. I used to have a Voyager 1200 and I currently ride a 1988 Vulcan 88 1500A and a 2007 Vulcan 900

I know this is 5 years old, I have a 2010 Voyager exactly like this one. I bought it in 2015 with 1700 miles and was very fortunate to get it for $7500.00, I now have 31,000 trouble free miles on it. I also have a Concours for the crotch rocket yearning inside me. I use a run flat car tire on the rear and a larger than stock front tire.

on the part about maintenance is that Japanese bikes tend to be very low maintenance

Just got rid of my '15, I put short windshield on it...... I need air Actually the 900's have a bigger gas tank The mpg is about 45 highway.....not really that good for pure highway driving Kawasaki did 6th gear right, their 1500 5 speed did 55mph at 2500rpm The 1700 6 speed in 5th does 55 at 2500 and 70 in 6th........so they simply added a gear, others rearrange gearing and end up with 6th being just slightly higher than the old 5th in Nissan's versa, 6th gear is actually lower than the old 5th.......much better for having fun in the curves but not better for highway mpg. Look at those grips, way too much crap, the radio isn't worth anything, cruise control is exceptional, the bike feels too short(wheel to wheel), but it handles curves nicely Stock rear tire got 5k, changed to shinko after 5k it was still good tire This was my first and last fairing, I traded in for '19 C90T

Sorry, you have that completely backwards. He is quoting Biblical passages. The wise, in the bible, would be compared to a know it all. The fool in the Bible is more along the lines of ignorant but searching.
