I have a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500fi. I bought it in Aug. of 2002. I ride my bike all year round, and so far I have put 104.458 miles on it ,and it has never had a mechanical failure, or left me stranded ! I put a Vance and Hines high performance exhaust on it , but the motor is stuck. I have been riding for 52 years now, and this is the best bike I have ever owned ! Period! so far I have had 124 motorcycles , motocross, sport bikes, enduros and cruisers! My O3 Nomad is the most trust worthy and comfortable bike I have ever owned ! Love SRK keep up the videos Shawn you rock bro!🏍

The Ivans Rockland County cycles tune on my 2017 Vaquero helped smooth out the jerky throttle, added 10 ft pounds of torque on a stock bike, stopped exhaust popping and radically improved heat management on the bike. My bike would always crowd the hot mark on the gauge when riding in town or in slow traffic regardless of weather. Now even riding in 115 degree heat in Northern California it never goes past 3/4 mark on temp gauge. The heat difference is really noticable in reducing rider fatigue.

I had a Vaquero for a couple of months. I really only rode it one time. It was too much bike for me. Fortunately, it was just a financial deal, traded a hot rod for it, then sold it to buy another hot rod. That higher shield is something that's really needed.

I have a Vaquero. The shaking is because your lugging the motor. The best shift point for these is around 3000rpms. If your jamming gears to accelerate fast the best shift point is 4500rpms. Also as a side note, the tune is probably by Ivan tune.

Hey man, love your vids ... just started watching them a couple of weeks ago as they pop up (cool Silverwing). I've kinda dropped off of religion, but was raised in a strong loving Christian family, and respect everyone's beliefs. I think it's cool that you read a verse as you take off. I noticed immediately that you were missing your sticky (and didn't go back to get it this time), and thought, "well, there's always the great John 3:16" , and BAM! You dropped it. Nicely done. (sorry there is a link on the 3[colon]16, it just does it, and I cant remove it, and do not know what it links to, nor am I going to click it .... OK, I clicked it, and it links back to this video).

Recently bought a 2002 Connie with 65K. I wanted to strip it down, cause I mostly do local riding (and am use to Nighthawks and VFRs), but the folks at COG convinced me that losing only 25lbs wasn't work the heat deflection the fairing provides. It is top heavy, but I wouldn't trade that 7.whatever gallon tank for anything.

Our bike shops around here (Can) are diversified with the Japanese brands now.. They sell Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki all under same roof. Hard to find a good Mechanic for all. Traded for a Harley, all Harley at the Harley store. Harley Mechanic and always have parts. I don't need parts but you might think your riding something that's more common in the market place. Harley actually has a dip stick for the oil check. My Vulcan classic had a foggy little window down low that was very difficult to check. So was a lot of other things. I've already been over my Ulta Ltd and found it very easy to service. So far, so good.

Prob good to travel on, people gonna wanna steal ur Streetglide on a roadtrip. I'd still buy a Streetglide over this though, that frame mounted fairing doesnt really matter below 100mph n e way. Streetglide steers its self in twistys, they handle great and require no effort at all once you get used to the balance of them. I do like this Vaquero though, i'd like one in addition to a Harley or two. Still a little w much of a Harley copy, they need 2 come up with there own bagger styling and get a cult following going.

Now that's +350 pipes 700+ KE filter +80 so you are looking to spend additional 1k+ just to get this bike ride normally.Valkyries Goldwings dont need any of these.

Hey there Sean nice looking Kawasaki, how would this bike compare to the new Yamaha Venture /Eluder bikes??thx.
@1satisfiedmind
@1satisfiedmind 5 жыл бұрын
I like Vaqueros, but the Eluder is out the box a better bike. More horse power more torque more options, but air cooled, heavier...and priced higher, with costlier maint. I ride a Kawasaki 1600 Meanstreak, kawasakis are built to ride. Maybe more plastic on the Kawi, and fixed bags, lol...but I believe the Vaqueros also (still) have self adjust valve tensioners (check me on that one), which means the valve train adjusts itself, saving you time and money because they're maintenance free valves. There are some nice custom vaqueros out there too, just google it, they're beauties.

I didn't get to test drive the 2021 new Vaquero. I drove 78 miles to the dealership to trade my sportster in. It was all based on if I was getting the trade value I wanted. I did. Dropped some extra money on the Vaquero. Never test drove it. After the paperwork I was headed back 78 miles and I would find out what it's all about. First impression, 15.00 filled the tank which was 1/4 full. The suspension was as good as the one on my Lincoln Continental. That was the very first thing that stood out. Because I road a Sportster, I riding the VAQUERO In 5 the gear the first 25 miles. The bike handled 70 mph in 5 the gear with ease. No strain on the motor. Stayed under 3k RPMs. Once I started using 6 the.gear things got really smooth. Great ride all the way home.
