The dude that kept breaking tackles name is Jonah Lomu and he was 6'5 260lbs and ran the 100m in 10.8 seconds. NFL teams showed a lot of interest in him in the 1990s.

Yeah, as the meme goes "One did not simply 'wrap up' Jonah Lomu".

The players dive in to score because you have to ground the ball, so if you go low you cannot be held up and it is more difficult to dislodge the ball if you get tackled
@HelloHumanIAlsoAmHuman
@HelloHumanIAlsoAmHuman 2 жыл бұрын
The reason players dive instead of placing the ball down, is because defenders will flick a sneaky foot out and try to knock the ball from your hands before you can press it to the ground. Even worse if no defenders are near you and the wet ball slips from your hands because you didn't dive. When that happens you gotta sit all alone on the bus ride home while your mates glare at you.

If you think rugby is crazy, you'd be surprised that we play rugby as early as 6 years old.

Hello boys, I'm loving your reactions to rugby. I'm from New Zealand and we're rugby crazy down here. Please watch more, it's a great game. The US has a new competition with very good players on the way up.

Most of those vids are twenty plus years old. Jonah Lomu stamping all over England's Rob Andrew was from the1995 world cup in South Africa. Sadly Jonah suffered from kidney problems all his life and finally succumbed to kidney failure in 2015 he was only forty years old when he died. He was one of the greatest players of all time an absolute joy to watch and a gentleman with it .

Kangaroo tastes great! We mainly eat the tail as they are pure meat and no fat / sinew. Roo tastes very much like venison, quite gamey but amazingly tasty.

kangaroo leg isn't a thing, but its not like it couldn't be. Its like asking if there's deer leg at a game "no i cant buy it at the concessions, but i got some left over meat stew at home"

The guy running the ball everytime you guys said wrap him up is the GOAT. Jonah Lomu. 280 pounds, six foot five and runs the 100m in 10 seconds.... Lol they were trying to wrap..

The ball needs to be placed on the ground with downwards pressure, having yourself on top of the ball pretty much guarantees that it will be confirmed as a Try (5 points, then an additional 2 points with the Conversion kick). The big guy who ran over the opposing team player was Jonah Lomu, the greatest of all time, you should check him out!

Tackle technique is far superior generally in Rugby. The lack of pads means it has to be if you want any kind of career. Jonah was just different.

These are (some of) the all time greatest tries because of the historical significance of the games, such as deciding outcomes in world Cup matches. They are definitely not the most impressive when viewed without context.

A try is same as a touchdown. A conversion is the same as an extra point in NFL. A field goal is the same as a field goal lol. A penalty goal is also like a field goal in NFL. 5 points for a try. 2 points for a conversion. 3 points for a field/penalty goal. NFL literally evolved from rugby, which is why there are many similarities. There are of course differences. E.g. in rugby pu have to place the ball down on the ground to score. In NFL this also used to be the rule by the way. Ever wondered why it's called a "touchdown"? Its because originally, like rugby, in NFL you had to touch the ball down on the ground to score. Another more important difference - the play doesn't really stop in rugby like it does in NFL when someone is tackled. The tackled player has to release the ball and the two teams fight over it at every single tackle.

What would you eat at a Rugby Game? Beer. You also have the option of a Cornish Pasty or Pie and Peas should you decide to cheat by eating actual food.

"A Kangaroo leg" 🤣🤣🤣... I would say meat over a flame, a barbeque, Barbie(Aussie) or Braai(South African) or a decent hot dog and beer would be perfect for a rugby match.

The word touch down in American Football comes from Rugby as the sport came from rugby. Try/Touch down (old term) = 5points Conversion (from try) = 2 points Penalty kick = 3 points Drop kick (which is also allowed in American Football even though nobody does it) = 3 points It's safer to dive with the ball into the in goal as you can still tackle the player om the in goal and dislodge the ball or get under the ball preventing it touching the ground preventing a try.
