I love the ethereal, dreamy quality in these paintings. I've tried to re-create this painting twice, mine have more of a nightmarish, bulky quality, lol.

Fabulous work as always Kanta! Your technic of wet on wet with multiple layers is extra ordinary. still you manage to maintain the freshness of pigment. This is called master strokes.

Breathtaking !!! If You can do this - You can do absolutely anything You want !!! One painting like this solves all financial headaches for best painting material for a loooooong time ... To have the knowledge, mileage with painting, sharp eye and perfect sense for light/colours - in my books I call it COMPLETE FREEDOM ! Not only is my hat off to Your artwork, would even shave my hair off my head(whatever is still up there anyway), enjoyed Your video immensely, immediately subscribed and will start studying every video You've published ... use art masking fluid or use white crayon. You can try anything you had in your drawing. When you use masking fluid ,you'd better use a pen to draw the details.

Can somebody tell me how does he prepare the white part that outlines the silhouette of the trees and mountains? Is he applying clear varnish, nail polish or anything? Because when he pours the watercolor all over, it just slides off on certain parts, specially on the sky part, left side of the mountain. I'm guessing that these areas were not left dry before pre-wetting the paper.

Did you mask the pinpoints of light coming through the trees before you made your first wash?

Yes, you can see the pale blue masking fluid at 1.07 and also see him remove it towards the end.

It's a clean cotton ball. He also uses cotton dipped in paint to apply the color for leaves

He has applied masking fluid at the sketch stage. You can see the pale blue mask at 1.07 and he removes it towards the end.

@@JakkiCarey Thank you. If it's not a secret, how can I make this masking liquid so that the white paper is not covered with paint, and there are white spots on the sheet like glare on the water and between the trees? Maybe you can buy it in a store for the artist?

No secret! Yes, you can buy masking fluid in an art supplies shop. You paint it on with an old brush (it can ruin good brushes). It dries quickly to a rubbery finish that resists paint. You can remove it later with an eraser or even your finger.
