Brooks keeps referring to himself as the alleged defendant. He is not an alleged defendant, he is the defendant in this case. He is an "alleged offender".

He is saying alleged defendent because he think as a soverine citizen that he doesn't have to adhere to the US legal code. So he's trying to not "admit" that he's even a defendant. It's wild, but he's been trying to have the case dismissed "because he does not recognize" the court's authority and jurisdiction. It's sad that he's trying so hard to discredit these witnesses who are just saying that they saw him. When there's plenty of other evidence that he was the driver that day.

The smirk on his face when he tells her ‘happy birthday’ is disgusting. This is just wrong. Every defendant is innocent until proven guilty in the USA and every defendant has the right to represent themselves. I was SOO PROUD OF HER!! He tried to get to her, it didn't work, he couldn't control her or how long she had to stay. That's why he called her again, and again it didn't work!! The only charge that TRULY bothered him was the one involving her. He became EXTREMELY ANGRY ANY TIME she was mentioned, ESPECIALLY if ANYTHING GOOD was said about her. He would be filled with rage EVERYTIME!! He was filled with soo much rage, he tried to argue about why they dropped the charges from Nov 20th. At first, it seemed like he didn't want that charge dropped, then went the other way saying it never happened and that's why they dropped it. He wanted his time served to NEGATE count 76 for him hitting her the night of the parade. I really think that's the only charges he truly cared about involved her. He didn't become angry/emotional about ANY of the other charges, he blew them off. Acted like they didn't matter, showed no emotion, but you mention her, he INSTANTLY shows emotion, which is anger and rage, but still emotions. He even watched her leaving the courtroom thru his computer screens. After watching this trial a few times all the way thru, I noticed how he acted with all the horrific charges, and the complete lack of ANY emotions, but he showed extreme emotions(anger/rage) AT VERY MENTION OF HER NAME!! It was HILARIOUS the faces he made when he was told he couldn't ask anymore questions, even FUNNIER when state clarified what he tried to say she lied about, because he didn't know what forthright meant!(even funnier when he shows again with the detective on the stand. He tried several times then to say she lied and that the detective said she lied, which didn't work either. The detective made it VERY OBVIOUS that she DIDN'T lie to him,and he believed she was being truthful, CLEARLY!! Brook's rage shows then too, actually think he was more angry that someone believed Erika!! CLEARLY, that's NOT what he wanted to hear!! It doesn't fit with the story he's cooked up in his head!!🤔🤔

Exactly. It's crazy how he keeps calling himself the "alleged defendant " even though he's the person on trial. He's extremely narcissistic.

His line of questioning is hilarious. What did you eat that day? Is it fair to say the sky was blue that day? Wait wait wait. let me back up a bit... Is it fair to say the sun was up that day? How did you know the sun was up that day? Did you make the defendant hit you on that day?

I appreciate her strength and composure. I don't want to speak to ex boyfriends but to have to speak to him and answer this ridiculous line of questioning all while knowing the horrible things that he did to you and to others requires a lot of mental and emotional clarity. I hope she and her child/ children receive all they need and can have a good future.

Girl, he is terrible. The circumstances are not ideal, but I am so so happy you are finally out. You don’t have to deal with any of his BS anymore. You don’t have to answer the phone. You don’t have to send him money. He can never hurt you again. For life. You are not obligated to do anything for him. He is going to try to make you feel sorry for him next- stay strong.

Mostly like she broken and dont know it. Therefore she is probably attracted to narcisstic disrespectful man. All little girls need a stand up, role model worthy father to show them the blueprint of a respectful man. If your a grown woman this does not apply to you, the damage is already done.

To understand how abhorrent Darrell is, you have to realize that while questioning Erica he had 2 charges pending against him in Milwaukee. One for punching Erica in the face and hitting her with his Moms SUV and a related charge for witness intimidation, trying to stop Erica from testifying against him. Those cases are coming up for trial this month, February, 2023.
