Hey everyone, it's time for another episode of 'On the Beat.' This time we'll tag along with Officer Palmini as he conducts some traffic enforcement activities. Our patrol officers work hard to keep motorists and pedestrians safe as they navigate Wausau's roadways.

This is awesome. Every city and town should have this platform to see what police really do. It paints a better picture of what police do and who they are.

Love the patrol videos and you show do a video every week called patrol Friday where you follow an officer for a week and see what they do and post it every Friday and also can you show us what is on some of the officer's belts and the fear they use? thankyou

That would be a yellow light violation as well, he had an opportunity to stop when the light changed.

there was nothing "iffy" about that. that car CLEARLY ran the red light. the light was already red before he even entered into the intersection! he had a ton of time to slow down and stop for the light, but instead he hit the gas and still completely missed the yellow light.

Nothing, citation is the more legal/formal name for what most people call a “ticket”

You can tell that this police officer know the rules the penal codes and the laws are there police officers and other cities do not know the laws and the rules and know what they can and cannot do special in Texas.

Only cop I’ve ever seen stop someone for 10 over. It’s normally at least 15 over.

I’m from the state of Ga. Ga Troopers will stop you for 10 over with out of state plates. 15 over for in state plates. They only give out tickets, no verbal or written warnings.

where he was parked is across from a park, in a residential area and just down the street from an elementary school. We’ve also received numerous complaints from the neighborhood about speed.

pulling someone over for 36mph is wild. I get that it was "near a park" but come on, anyone with a brain knows 36 mph isn't fast at all

We receive weekly complaints from the residents in that neighborhood about speeding issues.

Pulling someone over for going 35mph is absolutely insane. And flooring it to catch up, as if they're fleeing from you, is even more ridiculous. They are clearly not distracted and aren't driving fast at all. You're adding to the problem, not solving it. The people are probably calling in complaints because they hear the squad car flying down the road stopping mom and pop for 10 over. If you want them to slow down, just flip on your lights or put a speed sign. The cop's robotic, unblinking demeanor when talking to everyone is really something. And seriously, why wear long sleeves if you're just going to roll them up? It looks incredibly unprofessional.

I always get a few laughs over police channels on you tube. Why? Because you'll most likely never see them do anything wrong. Long ago, our Supreme Court ruled it's legal for cops to lie to the public during an investigation. Guess when this happens? It starts with their first question if they stop you for any reason. You might have heard the questions. Do you know why I stopped you? Where are you coming from? Where are you headed to? They are fishing for anything they can hem you up for. How do we really know this officer's background? How many complaints are in his files? Unless you live close by and go request a public records request on him, you'll never know. Here are the best things to do if stopped by any cop. First, they are supposed to tell you why they stopped you. If they do, you are required to show license, insurance proof and registration. You are not required to say or answer any questions they ask. This is your best defense when confronted by cops, silence! Never argue a ticket or citation on the side of the road. If you disagree with the ticket, the place to argue your side is a courtroom. If stopped while driving, as soon as you stop, start your cell phone and record everything. . This could save your side of what happened. If the cop says, it's ok, he's recording, too, pay no attention. Keep recording and most importantly, remain silent! You know what you hear a lot, there are good and bad employees in every job. So, why so many in police departments? The proof is in 100's of videos on you tube.
