Das Problem sind meistens nicht die Mechaniker. Bin Selber Mechaniker, und arbeite privat auch gerne Sauber und Ordentlich, dafür halt etwas langsamer. Bei einer Werkstatt geht immer alles nur ums Geld. Da lässt Qualität nach, so wie in jedem Geschäft heutzutage. 2 Stunden Zeit für eine große Inspektion und man soll nach 1 Stunde fertig sein :) Traurig aber leider Realität

That SLS AMG dry sump oil drain looks like a pain. I doubt many owners of these cars would ever see the underneath of one of these rare beauties.

This is an awesome video, the mechanic operates like a true professional and the car is an amazing peace of engineering, hope to be buying one of these my self some day soon, I rented one for my birthday this year best motoring experience of my life. Genau so muss das sein. Ich bin kein Mechaniker aber jedesmal wenn ich Mechaniker sehe denen das Auto scheiß egal ist krieg ich die Krise. Egal was man macht. Wenn man mit Sachen von fremden arbeitet sollte man vernünftig damit umgehen. Habe in der Umgebung noch nie so einen Mechaniker gesehen. Super immer weiter so ! Die die ich kenne sehen es auch völlig normal an wenn sie sich gegen das Auto lehnen, mit den Schrauben schlampig umgehen, etwas verlieren etc... Das ist leider das mindset vieler grobmotorischen Mechaniker.

Da geht jedem guten Mechaniker das Herz auf😱 sogar die Schrauben der Unterbodenverkleidung wurden mit einem Drehmomentschlüssel angezogen😳 Habe selten eine so saubere und einwandfreie Arbeit gesehen! 👍

I serviced my car for the first time ever ( first time I performed a service on a car by myself ) and honestly it was very fun and enjoyable! If anyone hasnt done it before, do it. its a fun way to learn more about your car !

I like the care you take after everything's finally stopped dripping. Way better than the last guy that changed my Camry's oil. Damn oil filter fell off the car after I got to work and I had zero oil left in engine. The guy had the audacity to tell me to just drive it back and it'll be fine. Luckily engine seems to be ok still.

My guess is that if you have the money to own one of these, you have the money to pay for whichever poor soul does the labour. I doubt mechanical convenience was on Mercedes' bucket list.

Mercedes engineers sometimes overthink some of their vehicle designs ,but then again they have their reasons, I own o e of these and I'm a mechanic AND I hate when it's time to change the oil on the damn thing too,lol

Would you please. please post the torque specs for the following? cross bracing; under-body panels, oil drain plug; oil cooler hose bolts, oil filter cap...and anything I might have missed. This is a fantastic video. Thanks for your hard work in presenting it.

Its a big job just to change an engine oil, still some few bolts and you can remove the engine and do the oil change out side 😂. Nice job 👌 mercedes engineers nice job making simple tasks takes alot to do

wow, you went through trouble to extract that one cup of oil from the oil cooler pipes, I hope that the owner appreciated your efforts handsomely, the other trick was you could have asked him to bring the car in with hot engine this way the oil cooler thermostat would have been kept open and you could pull the entire oil from the central plug.

Perfect work! But you should use exhaust ventilation when running the engine inside the workshop. Safety neglection is unacceptable. Exhaust gases are dangerous for your life!

very good job and video. thanks for sharing. only thing I can say, at the last part cleaning the oil filter cab with aerosol is only mistake you made:( the reason is the left over aerosol inside the cab will eventually contact with the oil later on. as you know aerosol will dissolve the oil. I know its not a big amount of aerosol but just letting you know.
