At 47 I finally found Waylon. I wish I had found him long before he passed. Hell of a talent and a revolutionary in the music business
@TheBrooklynbodine3 жыл бұрын
Well, you've found him now. He was something else from the mid 70s to the early 80s. He'd have been 84 today (6-15-21).

My brother introduced me to Waylon back in late 60s. Been an avid fan ever since. Seen him too many times to count. One of the best country music stars that ever made music. Billy Joe Shaver is another one.

Great upload! Waylon is the one that came up with that boom-boom bass, or as Tompall called it "that eat-shit" bass. It became Waylon's very recognizable trademark!
@lindadonahue92799 жыл бұрын
Don't think so, Larry. There is a video of Waylon singing "Me and Paul", but he's singing "Me and Tompall". They played pinball for DAYS at a time. Tompall taught Waylon to play, and once dragged a pinball machine down a hallway and up a flight of stairs just so he and Waylon could play in the same room. He paid hundreds of dollars to have the damage repaired. Tompall wrote a song about Waylon called "Come Back Shane". It was about Waylon's drug use and is here on KZfaq. Good song!

What really happens around 240 in the song. Is he just lip syncing or do they back up his voice with his own. Not knocking Waylon, he’s great, just asking. Thanks
