I hate to say it, but there just isn’t any music sounding THIS GOOD coming out of Nashville today. Not even close. Waylon was truly one-of-a-kind, and this song proves it!
@nickhawkins60544 жыл бұрын
If you want good music like this you gotta hunt to find it. The only good stuff these days comes from Texas or the great state I live in Kentucky.
Why should you HATE to tell the truth. Hickhop is what it is. I appreciate that we have such a huge history of the great ones, and the technology to bring them back to us when we ask.

There are not many artists out there who sound better live than on their studio albums. Waylon is one of them. I've never had the opportunity to see him live, couldn't even buy his records in Germany. All there was was a crackly reception of AFN (American Forces Network) and a record with just one of his songs which I purchased in London and carried with me in my backpack through Britain, Ireland and France before returning home. Thank you everyone for posting his performances. I'm really enjoying being able to see and hear him perform.

His voice is simply incredible and so sincere. He really means it. He put heart and soul in all of his songs. He could cover a song and do it better than its original artist, he did “Delta Dawn” better than Tanya Tucker and never released it as a single, that’s the only reason she won an award for that song, (what a gentleman)☺️, the same goes for “Sweet Caroline”,his version is the best you’ll ever hear, better than Neil Diamond and anyone who’s ever attempted at singing it. And the guitar picking well we’ll not go there cause nothing compares.

Jennifer Snyder yeah it's like if you could only pick one for the rest of your life, it'd have to be older country music! I dig the old country and 70's, 80's, 90's rock, like Bob Seger, Allman Brother's and stuff but if I could only pick one, it'd be the older country genre.

He could sing nursery rymes and give them weight. Simply a perfect combo of talent, (understatement!) , sincerity, material, and that "it" factor. New country has so many critics because it is simply too slick and artifical. Everyone is "trying" to be an outlaw. Waylon was called an outlaw by those seeing his actions ( doing it his way) not because he chose it as a genre. He always resented the outlaw thing and even said " people seem to forget I'm a musican " that's why he is so respected. He hated posers and the way country has gone he again would be "fightin the system". Every year after his passing his legend, impact, and legacy just continue to grow....I miss him!
