This is a good explanation and tutorial, however, I'd like to throw in some constructive feedback of what i've experienced. I've engineered some rappers lately that want his vocal style and by studying his voice, I can say his engineer definitely sidechains his vocals so the reverb hits about 15ms after the dry vocals. I usually put a small delay then a bigger reverb behind the vocals to get that "trailing" effect but not boomy or muddy. You can definitely see what i'm talking about if you listen to "babysitter" by him. His engineer uses a lot of "reverse verb" as well to get those nice swells.

Great video. Your templates are awesome. Its amazing to me that Pro Tools hasnt added an actual BPM finder. Finding the BPM in Pro Tools is trash. I just open Logic and use their plug in. This comment is more for AVID than for you. Other than thanks for the great content. :-)
