32 minutes went by like 32 seconds! Possibly the best aviation channel (and specifically to the A320) on YT. Thank you for all the detail information and demonstration of procedures as performed by real world pilots.

EXCELENTE JOB, If you have a DA it is not necessary to add 50 ft, only when it is a MDA. If you are in IMC and has a Pull up terrain you have to do it not matter what your terrain ND is showing. I really like your Job!!!

Thanks! We add 50 to the DA when we are doing a non-precision approach and yes in IMC conditions if we get a GPWS warning we don't leave anything to chance, we go-Around, better safe than sorry! :)

Nice and detailed explanation of the RNAV (AR) procedures!! Come to any Indian airports once... you'll love flying there. I suggest to fly routes like: OMDB - VABB, OMDB - VAID, etc... See you soon!! 😊😊😊😊

Thanks! As an airline pilot I have flown into various cities in India many times from the uae and other parts of the world, I’ve had the honor to land in Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Cochin, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and many others and love the experience India offers every time specially the food. We will be touching down in New Delhi in the series.

Very good video. I was wondering: in the video we can see 6A-AMN (we can see this very clearly at 17:44) but the aircraft with this registration cannot be found. Search finds A6-ANM. So what is correct? Is it possible that the sign in the cockpit is not correct? Thanks.

Try simara to Kathmandu plz

Thanks for the suggestion, but we've already flown twice into Katmandu and it's time to move on :) Besides Samara Airport is too small for an Airbus A320, it has a 3911 foot runway and we need at least 6000 feet for a safe take off and 5000 for a landing :)

Cap the resolution of the entire view in front of you seems bit low. Is it because of the projector or something else?

I again enjoyed your full video. I followed you step by step - very helpful and understandable with my 1200h flight experience in the a320 sim. 2 questions - I noticed you engaged the approach fase quite early - I thought to only do they when more or less established on RW heading for ILS approaches but I now know that’s wrong :) And the other question is you didn’t turn on the second a/p. Was that for a reason? Thanks as always, warm regards from the Netherlands

You have definitely become a friend of the channel! Lets tackle your questions... 1) If you're referring to Approach Phase from the MCDU to slow down the A/C so we can start extending Flaps, then Yes Airbus states we do this around 15nm from Landing, however, since I was doing a descending curved (AR) Non-Precision Approach to the runway in an area with High Terrain all around I decided to start Earlier than 15nm so I had enough time to focus and get the A/C Configured and Stabilized. 2) We only engage the 2nd AP for ILS Approaches as it adds extra safety to an ILS Approach in the event one AP fails the other can still continue, it's important when performing a Precision Approach. Hope this helps :)

@@waypointsaviation thanks again! I am learning so much from you - appreciated. For my first question I was not clear - I meant the app button on the ap. Like an ils, first to turn on the loc then the app button. I noticed you did that quite early. I thought you needed to be on an intercept heading for that. But probably not :). And thanks for your clear answer on my second question. Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to your next vid.

You’re right you should be on track or on an intercept track to arm the loc and GS for an ILS but for rnav since we’re using GPS waypoints as long as we’re in nav and nearing the FAF we can arm the APP so the ac will start following the GPS lateral and vertical guidance for the approach, at minimums however you have to disconnect and land manually (provided you can see the runway) or do a go around
