Pro tip: keep your pan on high the whole time, add meat first to render out fat. Then add veg and rice so that they can fry in that fat. Let your rice rest and sizzle. This carmalizes it and deepens the flavor. Then add the egg once the rice has some color as not to overcook it. Edit: adding a bit of seaseme oil to your meat helps out with flavor a lot as well. Add a bit to the meat to start, and a bit at the end as well to mix in. If you are feeling really adventurous, add a dash of Chinese Five Spice

actually frozen veggies are not bad, because it is able to preserve the nutrition value. My mother uses the Panda brand vegetarian oyster sauce because she say it taste better than the real one. Since it is made from mushrooms, I don't think it tastes so bad. The only difference being that, for people who enjoy eating meat, it would be good to add some shreds of chicken breast, or minced beef, or spam. If you are on a diet though, just adding a piece of animal fat skin to the oil and heating the oil before adding other ingredients, it is good enough to give the whole pan a taste of meat without adding meat.
