Totally relate about the muddy roads. I had to get two trucks of gravel dumped on our driveway here on the forty. My driveway is narrow and two deep ravines on either side and was slipping. Andrea, you are doing fine. Your words are inspiring. Not everything has to be done today. That's been proved to us this past week. We had a malfunction with our well and we've been on bottled water for 4 days now. The well people are coming Monday, but you sure find out that you can do almost anything if you put your mind to it! Life can be overwhelming even as a homesteader a watching you know, watching and raising a business with cows the freeze was horrible. I had busted pipes didn’t have water for a couple of days and I prayed so much and I get anxiety and I try not to my plumber finally came yesterday fixed everything and rerouted. The plumbing with that text Plumbing or whatever this packs and he’s telling me I need to do the entire house which will be soon…but please stay positive .. you still at the end of the day you need to give things to the Lord for giving you what you have and you don’t really sometimes you don’t appreciate it or you just it gets like an optical with life and things..

Had to go to town Friday. Woke early this morning thinking of the things pilling up, especially with not being able to do anything but chores Friday. Well I got a bunch done today, even with rain, so feel better. We are expected to have a nice week weather wise and I’m looking forward to it, but like you said, I take it as it comes. Enjoying my “down time” this winter before kids start coming mid Feb. Won’t be long and I will be getting back into dairy routine. All of the snow we got when the big storm came through (28 inches) has all been melted by the following warm up and rain. It's nothing but mud where I am at in Michigan. I'm in Arkansas too and the mud is terrible. Our driveway is useless and like u said the tractor is about the same. I wear mud boots to the car and then change into my regular shoes. We have never had mud this bad

You actually had me crying because when you asked me about my favourite person my first thought was of my sweet granddaughter who isn’t even two years old yet and when I thought about it and how I spoke to her today when I was saying goodbye I didn’t even realize what I had said to her until she parroted it back to me and it was the sweetest thing!!!! I said “ goodbye Honey” and all I heard was her sweet little voice pipe up and say goodbye honey! Well of course we all laughed and I said Grandma loves you and she said I love you and then since before she could talk I’ve been teaching her how to put her hand up to her mouth and blow kisses and she blew grandpa and me kisses as we left and she said bye bye grandpa and he almost melted because she’s just started calling him grandpa without being prompted by anyone and I thought my big old softie hubby was going to cry! Shes the most precious little girl and while she can be a handful and be extremely demanding and strongwilled she is going to make it in this challenging world that we live in today! I look at myself and my knees and shins that are many shades of black and blue and green and purple from a recent fall when trying my darndest to help out her parents and sometimes i think my hard work isnt being recognized or appreciated but then i remind myself im doing it to help them and my sweet granddaughter and i dont need any thank yous or acknowledgement my rewards will be in the beautiful relationship that im building with my granddaughter and im hope im around to see her walk down the aisle one day. Thank you I'll try to do better at positive self talk and doing it in a way i do for my favourite person. 🥰❤️🍁🇨🇦🙏🏻

We live about 5 minutes from I-30 in the area of the flooding/potholes. Chris and Charity was 45 minutes late to work twice last week. When flooded, there isn't another way in/out of our little community. There were so many water rescues going on. BUT GOD. We were safe and warm 💖 Thank you 💖

Loblollies ( the effect of the mud caused by damp ground becoming frozen from the severe cold, then later, the thawing, and it causes the ground to literally to fall out from under itself with the mud) are not fun. I have seen people put literally dump after dump load of gravel in them and they will literally sink out of sight. A lot of county dirt roads are suffering them up here in Searcy county.

Andrea, you are so uplifting to me and I needed it today. Pray for me as I am very depressed because life has been hard emotionally for the past 6 months. I believe in God and he is there for me, but so is the devil. Your mud situation is hard at best. I can't even imagine trying to keep up with everything the 2 of you are doing. I'm praying for y'all because like you said we have to stay positive. Have y'all thought of hiring a part time worker to help out when Ben's at work. Not sure it's financially feasible but it sure would help. Do you have anything you can put in the ruts to help you not get stuck? I'm here thinking of ideas and hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel.

Muddy pot holed dotted roads are the worst! I try to stay off our short cut (UK) country lanes in wet weather. It brings out the worst in women SUV drivers who insist because they’re bigger than you that you have to make way for them. They just don’t like getting their off-road style, school run cars, dirty. I really piss them off when instead of making way by driving onto mud-sucking verges, I stop my little runaround and begin slowly reversing until I reach a hardcore laid farm drive. I pretend not to notice if they eventually pull their vehicle off-road once they realise their selfishness is going to make them late for a nail parlor appointment. I just keep on slowly reversing. Often over half a mile. 😬😇😆 Sometimes, they have a satisfied imperious look on their face until other cars come up behind me causing a traffic jam. They then realise they have to move their pristine four wheel drive into a muddy ditch and let us all pass. I always thank them with a wave acknowledging their ingenious maneuver and gratefully appreciated courtesy. 👋🏻 (especially if they have children in the car). Makes them feel better and less likely to inflict pent-up rage onto the next poor person they see. Hashtag Spread the love. 😂
