Well, we can't believe it but we have to postpone our IVF transfer. We tried everything we could to keep to the timeline we've had in place since November, but it just didn't work out. Now, we're not sure about the next steps. We have to wait for our doctors to decide on the best route for our situation. Obviously the goal is to make sure everything is optimal for a successful transfer, but we can't lie. We're disappointed.

I'm a MD in Belgium (not gynecologist though) but it baffles me that your American surgeon can not communicate with your Italian IVF specialist. It would make things so much easier for everyone. In the day and age of email, this shouldn't be a problem.

That was my thought as well, why the 2 doctors (or their teams) couldn’t have coordinated care from the beginning. It would have been far more efficient and alleviated a lot of unnecessary stress. I understand US HIPAA patient privacy concerns, but the patient can authorize release of information. But sadly things like this can occur even between two different hospitals or medical providers within the same area. Our health care system is a mess.

Most american doctors have a God complex. They are focused on ego and not helping. I have stave 4 endo and lost my fertility from being gaslit my doctors for 15 years

In my experience, we now get fast-food style healthcare in the states. Drs have so many patients, you wait an hour after your appointment was schedules, get like 15 mins with them, and the rest of the time you deal with nursing staff. It does not surprise me to hear the Pasinis are having such issues. Hope it all works out

I tried everything to get pregnant in the late 1980's, including seeing a fertility specialist. I was told I had extensive endometriosis and fibroid cysts and was sterile. My periods were extremely painful. My husband began to see a chiropractor to adjust his Injured spine, and I asked the chiropractor if they could help relieve painful periods. The chiropractor said they could help me and I started getting chiropractic adjustments along with my husband. The chiropractor used padded wedges to align my hips which were crooked. My lower spine was also misaligned. After 6 months of regular chiropractic adjustments with no further fertility medications, I became pregnant. We have 2 beautiful children. 100%!!! My chiropractor brought his own wife's fertility back. She was not able to conceive either but, they now have 4 beautiful babies! He also got Webster certified to adjust pregnant women in his practice. There are many others with the same testimony.

Story time: I had a friend that had endometriosis. She tried for 10 years to have a baby. They finally decided to adopt. When they finally adopted, a month later she got pregnant. God knows what you need. Praying for you both ♥️ It happens sooner than later 🙏🏼

My aunt had the same problem as Jessi and she and my uncle decided to adopt and wouldn't you know after the adoption a year later my aunt got pregnant, That doesn't mean if you adopt then you will get pregnant, but don't give up hope. The right time (God's time) will happen for you whether you get pregnant or decide to adopt or not. praying for you.

Ugh I feel for you guys. I had stage 4 endo and PCOS, multiple surgeries, 2 rounds of IVF and then we said enough. We adopted 2 beautiful baby boys who are nearly grown now. The treatments over the years were not kind to me, sadly. I ended up with endometrial and Ovarian cancer. Take good care and watch for signs. Best of luck in building your family! 🍀💕

It depends on your genetic predisposition and how you process hormones, but yes, pumping yourself with extra hormones than a healthy body would normally create does mean your body may have difficulty processing said hormones. Pregnancy with or without medical intervention is pretty much the riskiest thing we can do with our bodies and the process has effects on the body physically and mentally due to the hormones alone, not to mention the societal changes.

Multiple broad meta studies over the last 20 years have not found a higher risk for breast or uterine cancer in women, except for the first year after treatment, which may could also point to the health conditions that were treated as risk factor. As pregnancy reduces cancer risk in women overall statistically, there is right now no evidence pointing to IVF treatment as raising cancer risks.

@@CocoLicious only pregnancies that go to full term reduce cancer risk, and they have to actually occur early enough in life for those reductions to be realised according to studies. Honestly, I'm not so concerned with cancer as I am with all the other biological risks medicine has failed to research when it comes to women.

Surrogacy, adoption, fostering are so many options. I have stage four endometriosis, and I had adenomyosis. I got pregnant twice, miscarried each time. Then at 34 I got a hysterectomy to cure the adenomyosis. I have other chronic health issues and so does my husband. We decided kids were not meant to be. We are the best aunt and uncle!

Same here, had a hysterectomy at 30 which got me a lot of pain relief. I love children and would have loved to become a mom but that's just not possible for everyone. I love being a caregiver for the children around and maybe I'll adopt or foster in the future ❤

Surrogacy is women exploitation and child trade... Sorry but that is awful. Adoption or mentoring, volunteering is a healthy option, and you don't exploit a woman

it's not over. Not yet. NO. Jessi, you said a beautiful thing that I've never thought about before: "maybe this is a preparation for the perfect environment", maybe if everything had gone well before and if you had made the transfer maybe this problem would have occurred during pregnancy putting everything at risk, then it's hard and painful but it's better this way. Let's wait and hope for the best altogether 💪🏻❤

We were told we couldn't have kids. 2% on our own and they didn't know why. We couldn't afford next steps. We now have three of beautiful kids on our own. It can happen. God is Good. I'll be praying for you.

Keep your head up! I dealt with infertility issues and had 5 losses total and I remember everytime I kept asking my self “why is this happening” the sixth time was it. I told myself emotionally I couldn’t do this again. Number 6 worked and he’s 9 months old now and I would do it 100 more times to have him again ❤️ thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your journey! I’m rooting for you guys!

I struggled with infertility for 7+ yrs, it was rough. Finally told my Dr can we see if I have endometriosis after 6 failed IUIs. Found out I had bad endo the entire time and a 6 month post surgery window to conceive. After suregery, we tried one more IUI failed again. I was done, next month got pregnant naturally. Could not believe it. Don't lose hope, all will be okay.

Forza to you guys! ❤️ My parents went through the same hard and long process and got pregnant with us - triplets. 5 and a half years later they fell pregnant with our little brother naturally even if the doctors said that this would be impossible. 🥹✨ Your miracle will arrive! When we moved to Aviano last year from the states, we decided to stop fertility meds and appointments because all the precision of when to take meds and schedule scans and appointments just stressed me out and made me feel like it was up to me to make it all work out. When it didn't work, it made me feel like it was my fault for not making sure the schedule was perfect. We've been trying for a couple years and no success due to my medical hurdles. I get it and am sorry you're going through this too.

Oh geeze. How incredibly frustrating and expensive! I guess it just wasn't a good time in the grand scheme of things. But, damn it, it sucks. Hopefully everybody gets in contact with everybody else and a new plan is made and able to be followed. Praying for you guys! ❤

You would think that both Italy and your doctors here would be able to communicate and get all your results/imaging over to Italy without you having to go and do it all. I can imagine how frustrating this is. Hopefully your doctors here can make Italy understand that they don't think it is endo and just the cyst and Italy can come up with a game plan to get the process moving sooner than later. Keep fighting and have faith, good thoughts that it will all work out. Much love to you both.

When you take a MRI or a CT scan. When submitting the form, you can specify which doctors the results get sent to. All you should have to do is to provide the information to the hospital and they can add the foreign doctor to the distribution list. You need to find out what is required to get the doctor approved to be on the list.

Ugh...I can feel your pain and disappointment. My transfer was pushed back multiple times and each time I felt like I was dying a little inside. It eventually did work out and the timing really did end up being perfect. I know the waiting game is awful though. I love that you're both still so positive. ❤️ The timing will eventually work out. I resonate so hard because infertility was by far the hardest thing I ever had to go through. I don’t want to be one of those internet people who tells you what you have to do, but I was diagnosed and ended up getting a pelvioplasty surgery to treat my endometrioses, and my understanding is that it is SO much better for your body than other surgeries/medications! It’s not a well known/commonly performed procedure because it’s so highly technical for the surgeon, but I had it done and got pregnant 3 months later naturally (we also had male factor issues). I wish more people knew about it because it literally changed my life!

I’m so sorry guys.Believe me I know how deflating and heartbreaking it all is but even though it’s not gonna happen right now as planned…you’re little miracle is still on the way. Plus yo also have backup options of going a different root to have one,two or even a whole baseball team of children. Just keep going the path God is leading you on will show you where to go from here.Don’t give up. God’s got you,your friends & family have got you and people all over the world has got you. I’m surprised that they’re not able to look at the disk itself. I always get extra disks so as to be able to deliver them to different doctor’s offices. Good luck on your journey. Wishing you wellness and baby success 🙏

I spent 5 years going through infertility treatments before my body shut down and I had to stop, we adopted. 3 of my cousins have dealt with infertility as well, one also spent years going through all the treatments and heart break before being blessed with their son and she is pregnant with their second child now. Another also spent a few years going through it and has been blessed with a darling daughter. My other cousin just gave birth earlier this year to a sweet baby boy. It’s a long, hard, emotional, frustrating process. And as much as it sucks, in the end, we all have children. You will have your family one day, I’ll be praying it’s sooner than later.

Sending love and prayers. Been following your join and your ups and downs. I know some couples want their own children, but some many kiddos out there need mamas and dads. My son and daughter-in-law couldn’t have children. They just couldn’t. So they decided to foster to adopt. Took classes. And were put on the list for infants. 4 months and late one Sunday night they got a call that a teenage mom had dropped her infant baby girl at our little hospital cause she no longer felt she could care for it. This precious red headed baby with big blue eyes just looking at us. We feel in love with her and she just turned 7. And then 3 siblings, each infants, born a year apart, to meth parents came into the family. They are our littles. They’ve given us so much joy and love and we’re grateful. So I’ll be praying for you. I’ve had friends that were barren for years, adopt a child and with months are pregnant. Don’t give up.❤️🙏❤️

Sending you lots of love. I went through 2 exploratory surgeries and then IVF. Luckly conceived on the first round! But the years of probing and injections etc do bring you down. Keeping being positive and take one day at the time.

I understand what you guys are going through. Don't give up. My situation is different but I can relate to your infertility struggle. My first embryo transfer failed because it turned ectopic and I lost the baby at 6 weeks. Now I have more testing which will delay my next transfer attempt for at least 3 months. It is disappointing but you will get through it and things will fall into place.
