Join us for an unforgettable gravel bike adventure on the Virginia Creeper Trail!
We rode from White Top Mountain to Damascus to Abingdon and back, covering 70 miles and gaining 2,200 feet in elevation. Along the way, we jumped over rocks, crossed creeks, and laughed like 12-year-old boys at naughty jokes. It was an incredible experience that we will never forget.

Did it this past weekend. LOVED it. I split it up. Went from Damascus to Whitetop and back on day one, Abingdon to Damascus and back on day two. Lunch at Hellbenders. The bridges and trestles were a lot of fun. Great trail!

Nicely done! Damascus being almost the middle makes it super easy to be a central terminus. That sounds like a great approach on splitting up the trail. Thanks for sharing!!

I've ridden the Creeper so many times! I love that place, especially in the fall with all the foliage colors. Thanks for the video!

Thanks... I have done a downhill from White Top one other time, so this was really my first time past Damascus and actually pedaling up to White Top. I would have loved to see the fall colors, but we just got back from a long gravel ride in Floyd, and we got to see all the leaves there! Cheers!

Thanks! And strangely enough this was my first time other many years ago shuttling to the top and finishing in Damascus. Doing the full tour was well worth it! I wish we had something like it or the New River Trail a bit closer to us in NC, but Va isn’t that far away :)

Thanks Man!!! We ended up with almost 70 miles total. Awesome campground just a little past the top where they shuttled us up, way back when we all went up.

why ride it so fast? I rode it last week.I took the shuttle from abingdon to white top, then i rode the mile up single trac to the north carolina line the end. most folks don't do this. Then i turned around and rode all the way back to abingdon. i was stopping and taking pictures the whole time. starting and stopping. but my ride time was 3hrs. not bad for stopping all the time at every tressel taking pics.

We really didn’t want to ride it that fast. 2 of us camped on White Top and we’re going to meet 2 more in Abingdon and ride back with them. We got a bit of a late start, so we had to rich a little to get there when they got into town. Then on the way back we took our time as much as our food order and day light allowed. We wished we would have rode all the way to the NC line, as that would have been a nice touch to the video.
