What non-trans people mean by “not accepting yourself” is because you decide to change the physical appearance opposite of how you were born as (I tried keeping God out of this explanation, even though most homophobic and transphobic people are religious). Perhaps they associate you (to a degree) with other people who go to a plastic surgeon to change their appearance simply because they’re not happy with their nose, cheekbones, breasts or butt. I honestly feel that way towards people who go under the knife for vanity reasons and I don’t agree with someone having to go that route. It took me a long time to accept my body but I finally reached that point of acceptance AND appreciation for how my body is. Without having surgery. BUT I do understand that trans people change their appearance only to match their MINDS. Am I correct on that?
