@omnomnom1410 If you find that you don't enjoy the older stories as much, I suggest starting with the newest story and working your way down, because the older ones are a bit different.

Some humans would consider the destruction of the archives to be the worst crime imaginable. Still others would gladly sacrifice themselves to preserve the knowledge of others. This reinforces my predilection to let drones, robots and computers do all the work since they could be expendable or if must needs be re-writeable if not expendable. Make a backup before every mission. Make another, separate back up after every mission and then use the original backup to write the original system back on to the machines in case contact with alien tech changed them. Never bring any tech that has had contact with alien tech back to earth. If you don't know why, you haven't been paying attention. On a different note, if you can change humans like this and then change them back, you should be able to cure any disease and even old age.
