Many years ago we took my nephew to Disneyland and told him he could pick out a stuffed animal. He was deciding between Chip and Dale. My dad (grandpa) heard him talking to the one he had to put back, letting him know that he still loved him, that he would take take of his friend, he was sorry he had to leave him, etc. It was so touching, my dad couldn't let that happen, so we got them both. I haven't thought of that in years. My nephew was six, he's now 36, and my dad has been gone 28 years (as of July 4). The magic is real! Thanks for sharing that with us!

The best hidden mickey of all on Gelatoni, Duffy, and all of the friends is the mickey outline on their faces! They also each have a Mickey-shaped birthmark - Duffy near his tail, Stella Lou on her ears, and Gelatoni on his paws! Also, Gelatoni loves painting with his tail using Gelato - hence his name!

Miles is adorable. Such a great presenter and such a sweet kid. Kids ARE magical. I'd have a tough time deciding between Gelatoni or Olu. I love cats, but Olu was BRAND NEW when we went to Aulani and I got the very first Olu Pandora charm ever sold!!!! 😁 They are so cute! ❤️ I think I would bought him a raincoat in that weather. 😄

Miles is doing an amazing job with all the going around. Gelatoni will be good for him. It's so much fun to watch Miles with the food. He waits until you try and if you say it's good, he snitches the fork/spoon and has a try of it. Poor Amanda looked so tired by the time you all sat down to eat. Having watched her videos, I can understand. There isn't much of her to fight of that wind. I though that poncho was either going to choke her, suffocate her or just take off with her. 🤣🤣

How special! Not gonna lie, I was really hoping Miles would pick the turtle and name him "Oatmeal" (one of my favorite Chris-isms ever) 🥰. I just wanted to say that we have been subscribers for a while but this series of videos as you travel the world convinced my wife and I to become patreons. As you often talk about, there are storms in life which always pass. We have been dealing with some challenging situations lately that are out of our control. Honestly, the simple act of just watching your lovely family having such pure fun has really been a wonderful break. Miles reminds me of when my grandson was little and we got a stuffed dinosaur aka Dino @ Build a Bear. We packed that dinosaur all over and even went back to buy more clothes. Such fun times and memories!! Am loving all of your videos! Look forward to them every day!

I’m at a loss for words on this one, Provost fam. That was just the cutest thing ever. I want one now and I’m a grown man! Miles reminds me of me at that age. Plus, I am a Hufflepuff! I hope my future son has the same personality as Miles. Such a sweet boy! I’m almost the big 5-0 in a few years and still consider myself a child at heart. I’m sure Miles will be the same and it all starts with having such kind, loving and positive parents. 🥹 I’ve really enjoyed these videos. I haven’t missed one yet. They are getting me through my hectic days. In fact, I’ve been going back and watching past videos and just watched the “1st World Tour” attempt. It breaks my heart seeing your excitement and knowing what the future held. No one had any idea on what was about to happen. Even though your plans took a major detour, you stayed extremely positive and ended it on a high note. (Cough cough Disney cruise cough cough) Now, three years later and it is all actually happening!!! The message… don’t EVER give up! 😊 I had the opportunity to meet you last Dec at a Christmas concert and didn’t say “Hi” because you were taking pics with other people and didn’t want to bother you. I was shocked to see you there, in person! Now, I wished I would have. I won’t make that mistake next time!

Duffy actually started out in Florida, but he wasn't called Duffy back then. He was just “the Disney Bear” developed as a toy to mark the 2002 opening of the Once Upon a Toy Shop in the Walt Disney World shopping, dining, and entertainment district now known as Disney Springs (Known back then as Downtown Disney). However, the character didn’t sell very well. Reasons for this could be Duffy’s generic appearance that just looked liked an ordinary bear with Mickey shapes on his face and paws, or a generic story involving a teddy bear of Mickey’s that was brought to life by Tinker Bell’s pixie dust when Mickey wished for a friend. The Disney Bear was pulled from the shelves two years later. Duffy gained new life and his new name when he was picked up by the Oriental Land Company, the company that owns and operates the Tokyo Disney Resort. He was given a new backstory of a teddy bear that Minnie made for Mickey to accompany on his long sea voyages who was brought to life with the love and care Minnie has for Mickey from a letter she put into a bottle around Duffy’s neck. Duffy was a smash hit with the Japanese, and after a year of proven success, the Oriental Land Company began developing Duffy into a whole merchandise line. (What’s the reason for Duffy’s success when the Disney Bear failed? A better-developed story that allows for emotional connection? Japan’s kawaii culture, which Duffy and Friends definitely appeal to in my opinion? All the cute costumes you can buy and dress your Duffy or friend in? Fun character shows and special events with their own merchandise and food offerings? I think it’s a combination of all of these.) Duffy and Friends have gone from 1 to 7 characters in the 18 years it’s been around. I have a whole timeline presentation on the Duffy and Friends line that I did as an assignment for a digital humanities class.

Build a bear has a backpack for your new friends that has holes for the legs and draw string to pull under your new friend's chin and keeps your new friend dry and warm. They also have a passport for your new friend to buy so you can share your adventures

That’s so sweet of Miles. To remember how magical the world can be, I enjoy backpacking in the wilderness/mountains. It’s so beautiful but it can also kill you if you’re not prepared. Amazing.

Poor little meow meow must have had a long day in the rain. You guys just made my day with this video! Miles holding the camera and getting to speak was so awesome to see, my mom loves him to pieces. That stuffed animal he picked out was such a unique moment. It's really nice that Disney lets people go around the park with their stuffed animal/plushie. I go to a film school for people with developmental disabilities that helps people get jobs in the film industry and I've been a part of it for quite a while now.
