I loved your van before but love it more now. I understand why you would want to make the paint colors more neutral for possible buyers.. but I really loved your colors! Are you going to do a bus now?? 😊

Hey Kyle! We would be perfectly fine motoring in with this one for years to come, and have enjoyed the last 3 with it, but we need to build something with baby Isla in mind. We made this one work on our 3 month cross country trip, but there’s no way we could go longer without more appropriate planning for a baby haha

We definitely aren’t stopping traveling. We’re going to start building our next rig soon. we just need something purpose built with Isla in mind, so we’re planning something for the three of us, plus the dogs, with the intention to move slower and eventually offer it up to the community as something like an Airbnb or Vrbo and then get into building something else for international travel when Isla’s a little older.

Three years of traveling in the van warranted the rebuilding of quite a bit of stuff. Off road isn’t easy in the moving parts of our interior. So we wanted to rebuild all the drawers, as well as remedy an issue we had due to 3 large wardrobes drawers being too heavy. We also wanted to properly adjust the rear seat, as we added thicker foam to it than what we initially built it with so the Murphy bed was slightly uneven. We just wanted everything to be nice, new, clean, and functional for whoever ends up with the van after us.

@@jasongrinnell1986 it’s a 7 year old van, we aren’t expecting “new” sales prices. What we are hoping is that someone who buys it knows we cared about the van just as much after traveling in it as we did while traveling in it and that their experience in something we care so much about is just as good as ours was. Our name is tied to this van and the last thing we would ever want is someone to feel they got anything less than exceptional from something of ours. So we don’t care that we’re spending a few hundred dollars making the van fresh and more functional than before.
