Lea was the original Miss Saigon. She won the Tony award for it , also the Oliver award ( the equivalent of the Tony award in UK among other awards.) She also sang in the tenth and 25th anniversaries of Les Miserables as Eponine in the tenth anniversary and as Fantine in the 25 th.Out of all the hundreds of artists from all over the world,who had appeared as these two main female Characters of Les Miserables,she was the one chosen to sing . So you can see,like somebody commented above,Pentatonix was actually in front of a Broadway / West end legend.And don’t forget designated as a Disney Princess for Mulan and Jasmine.

The Philippines celebrates the longest Christmas in anywhere in the world. It starts when the Ber months comes esp September 1. Can’t wait for Jose Mari Chan, the composer and the singer to say something. But i know he’s very proud. This song has been a part of us Filipinos since it came out in the 80’s. Congrats too to Pentatonix for bringing this song to the world and Lea is still awesome as the years go by.

Lea Solonga is also the singing voice of 2 Disney princess Princess Jasmine and Mulan. As famous as PTX is, they were definitely in the presence of singing royalty.

Thanks for reacting to this. "Christmas in our hearts" is the unofficial Christmas anthem of the Philippines. It is usually heard as soon as the Christmas season begins in September. Lea Salonga is not only a famous Filipina singer but an icon. She is musical theater royalty having won a Tony Award, among others, for originating the role of Kim in the West End and Broadway musical Miss Saigon. She has likewise appeared as the first non-caucasian Eponine and Fantine in Les Miseablés. She has likewise been named a Disney Legend having been the original singing voice of two Disney princesses namely Princess Jasmine in Aladdin (A whole new world) and Fa Mulan in Mulan (Reflection). The list goes on and on. It would be nice if you could also react to her performances.

Fact Christmas in our hearts is traditional Christmas song in the Philippines.. Original singer is Jose marie chan I'm growing up with this song remembering my childhood . You can check that also.. Another fun fact: Lea Salonga was supposed to be the original singer of this song. Because of her label at that time Jose Mari Chan was a bit disappointed that did not happen. What a journey this song has circled back to Lea! And he must be proud this moment 🥰

"Christmas in Our Hearts" is The Filipino version of Mariah's "All I Want for Christmas", and we start hearing it on Sept 1😆. Mariah's song is just within top 5 on the list in the Philippines every Christmas. Lea Salonga= A Whole New World, Reflection.... I hope that rings a bell.

this is not a new song, this song is almost 30 years ago and we are always listening every Christmas in Philippines, the original singer is Jose Mari Chan.
