I don't understand why people are out here still supporting the most out of touch unrelatable content creators whos entire personality is literally just that.

It's mostly children who watch whatever is recommended to them by the algorithm. They don't understand why it's bad and the inflammatory response to the content makes it more exciting for them. Plus, they gravitate toward this cringey, hyper "bro" attitude many of the worst creators have (and they use that persona to target kids specifically)

Poland is such an underrated country and their ignorance and disrespect is disgusting. The wages in Poland aren’t as high as they are in the UK, therefore their produce is going to seem “cheap” to a UK citizen/worker. The reality of it is that to someone living on a Polish salary the produce is not cheap. Poland is such a precious place to me and to see people take advantage of the country and its people truly angers and upsets me. That video is so tone deaf and I thank you, Angelika, for actually speaking up and using your platform.

The cost of living in Poland is about 40% lower than in the United Kingdom. HOWEVER, the local PURCHASING POWER in the United Kingdom is 80% higher. Meaning that although the cost of living in Poland is relatively low, your money doesn't go as far in the long term. That is what she is talking about

I am from Croatia and we get both Americans and Brits - my best comparison is this: Americans treat our 2000+ year old towns and cities like Disneyland (like it is a set/amusement park built for them and hospitality, and people don't actually live there) where Brits (young brits) treat our towns like pubs and festivals and they drink and piss everywhere. So, both are bad and disrespectful in their own way, but one is very much worse than the other.

I was working as a receptionist in a hotel in Poland and my encounters with british tourists were mostly pleasant, however there were a few encounters that made me feel unsafe. For exaple one time, I came to work in the morning and housekeeping team informed me that a window in one of the staircases was smashed, I went and looked up the security tapes and saw young man smashing the window with his own head, I guess he was drunk and wanted to show off to his mates?... The group and the man who smashed the window didn't want to admit guilt even when I said that I have proof on security tapes. They appologised only when I told them that the police will be called. When they checked in they gave us cash for a security deposit so the window was paid for, however on the day of their check out they just left the keys inside the rooms, didn't bother to come to the reception and basically run away, by the time we checked the rooms they were long gone and the rooms were damadged (security deposit didn't cover that). Also, sometimes tourists were already drunk and aggresive when arriving, screaming at me for doing my job. I wish to say that these encounters were a few exeptions, but they weren't. In every situation like this, the tourists were young british men in their twenties or early thirties.

I'm from Ukraine, and when I had to leave my country in the spring of 2022 and had to stay in Poland for transit, one lovely Polish couple let us (and we were 5 people!) stay the night for free, and then drove us to the airport, also for free, even though it was an hour long ride Polish people are one of the kindest people there are, and these Tories fill me with so much anger, I'm glad Angelika didn't put a lot of parts of their video, because I wouldn't be able to watch it

I just wanted to share a story about UK tourists. I live in France near the Disney land park and we are quite a small town where hotels are expensive. Because of this lots of local put their flats up for Airbnb . So in my apartment complex there are 2 Airbnb and we never have problems with the tourists coming except when they are from the UK. Because they are on holidays they think they can do anything, the drinking and shouting and entitlement especially towards neighbors/ workers telling us how we should learn to speak English etc . I now live in the UK btw so no hate towards British people but a specific type of demographic (uni student going on holidays in groups) seem to always cause chaos and not care about the other locals when they go on vacation . Thank you for listening to my rant lol

As a South African, this man really cofuses me. A big part of being South african is appreciating and acknowledging your privilege if you have it. Obviously, not everyone, many people are out of touch. But here, even your middle class and upper middle class battle financially because the cost of living is so expensive. It goes from housing to food to medical care and schooling. Our public schools aren't free. Our public health care is underfunded and understaffed. South Africa is beautiful, and the culture and diversity are amazing. But this is also a country of corruption, crime, and poverty. I understand poverty and suffering is everywhere, but in South Africa, it is constantly in your face. It is constantly in your face in many places all over the world. I feel like it's just this really common thing for people to leave their battling countries and suddenly forget what it's like. Many don't forget and appreciate and are grateful for their lives, but many don't.

I don’t know if it was good or not but I felt really good being able to tip people more than I would usually be able to for once also, if only rich folk could do that instead of being snobby and stingy. This deeply saddens me. People in other countries that open their homes and share their culture and history with others should be held as something to be honored and celebrated. To do such a personal thing as to share ones life with someone they don’t even know takes courage. There’s nothing more kind than for someone to give you a place to sleep and a warm meal. I really hate that this has happened. What they did in that video was hateful and gross.

I think the premise of the video was fine, as they're comparing the cost of living (using currency isn't the best way to present this problem- the cost of living is a better measure because it factors in the prices of goods tied with wages. Currency is not indicative of cost of living, as some currencies in the middle east are amongst the most expensive (e.g Kuwait), but they aren't amongst the highest cost of living), and the cost of living in the UK is factually higher than in Poland. Pointing out the absurdity of the total cost being less expensive to fly to another country and stay overnight there than going for a grocery shop in the UK has merit to it, esp as a result of Brexit +everything the new PM is advocating for. However, the message was ruined by their disrespectful actions in Poland, and it just falls onto deaf ears when you have rich people complaining about the cost of living I guess.

If someone's interested in the economics of it all: It's only partially the currency that matters, something called purchasing price parity matters too. Very interesting concept. Something more intuitive to look up is the big mac index.

I have never been to Europe, but Poland looks absolutely beautiful from the pictures I have seen. I would be honored to be able to afford to travel there one day. I can’t stand entitled people who have never had to want for anything in life. Oh, and thank you for explaining the economics of the currency for us. I don’t care if you aren’t an economist, you did a great job for those of us who have no knowledge of that. Last thing, please don’t go to other countries to have dental work done. If you do, know what you’re getting into first. I am in the US, I work as a Dental Hygienist(20 years of experience and 26 years total in dental), and have seen too many patients who went for cosmetic work, and have come home with unnecessary work done. When something goes wrong and you have a dental emergency from it, you have to pay us out of pocket to fix it, or even worse, I have seen people lose teeth over it. I wish things were cheaper here, but we have expenses too, and we can’t work for free.

The Norwegians are traveling to sweenden, the danish is traveling to Germany. The Germans are traveling to Poland. If they had shown that it would be cheaper to fly and stay in Poland just to buy groceries, that could be a comment on how cheap flights are and how extreme the prices in UK are (Idk how the prices are, it's just an example). I'm late as I've only just found this Chanel and binge watching. The kind of people who would take up a free bed are the people who are usually the salt of the earth. Ive always told my daughters it doesn't matter how posh someone talks, how big their house is, how flash their car is or how big their bank account is. Do not ever let these type of people make you feel less then or that they're better because they have a posh voice. It's what's inside that counts, . It doesn't matter what you have it matters who you are, be humble be grateful and even when I have nothing I will share half of it. Twice a wk I go get a free meal. Tonight is one of those night. 5pm until 7pm last week I was the last person and they had one meal left, which you get a hot meal, yoghurt fruit biscuits crisps. Someone else turned up and they had to be told everything was gone, so I instantly said give him mine. I'll be fine. He wouldn't accept so instead he agreed to have half . That's how people should be. I know as an addict in recovery how it feels to be looked at like you're scum. You already feel worthless, people who haven't truly not had a single penny or one single thing to eat and also battling addiction they will never know how that looks which a lot of you will do maybe without thought, but we feel that look. Addicts come from trauma, it's self medicating, it's an escape or feeling numb as to not feel or think about the things that have happened or still happening to you. I guarantee if someone who d{es look at addicts that way. If you dared to ask one of them to chat with you. They would, ask them about their life, I truly hope even just one of you do this. Ask them how you can help, it doesn't matter if you think I'm not giving you money for drugs, I'll get you food. It's drugs they need it alcohol which in my opinion is the worst drug there is. You feel like you are dying until you get that drink or drug in your body. You need it just to feel normal, anyway if you heard even part of their life you wouldn't ever look at an addict that way again. To me being rich isn't how much money you have, it's how much love you have. The people I know love me they make me the richest person there is. Sorry about the rant

I visited poznan a few years ago with my uni and loved it there! I really wanna go again just for fun. Sad to see that so many idiots with money are going around being disrespectful (I'm including the japan-streamers in this statement)

I absolutely despise the trend of going to other countries just to disrespect the culture and laugh at it. I thought that died back when Logan Paul went to Japan but it seems to be having a resurgence. Especially things like foreigners haggling over stupid little things in economically poorer countries or trying food they think is gross and then acting disgusted when they eat it. It’s so out of touch and misses the whole point of travelling which is to be curious and learn and try new things about a new place. Every country has something to offer, you just have to have an open mind and be willing to live differently to how you usually do! There are no inherently “bad” or “good” places to travel because that’s someone’s home and culture and there are always pros and cons. It may not be for you, but you learn that and can choose to not go there again without slandering a place you haven’t actually lived in for more than a week holiday. I swear people don’t actually realise what “privilege” means. Particularly the privilege to be able to travel and see how others live. You are a guest in any country you travel to and you treat it with the same respect as if a friend invited you to their home.

Doxing the man who was offering help to someone in need, making fun of him makes me absolutely sick. Maybe if he was a creep, he was clearly not. These boys are pathetic and i hope they see these comments.

I’d love to visit Poland because it’s important to my mom and we have heritage from there and I’ve never been out of America yet. I actually got my mom the Polish doll from the Dolls Around the World line of Barbie’s for Christmas one year because I know it’s important to her and you don’t see as much stuff like that for Poland as you do other places, at least I haven’t.

My birth grandparents are Polish and I was raised very much integrated into the “Polish” community (in quotes because it’s really polish American.) I’ve always wanted to visit Poland and think it looks beautiful. The disrespect people bring with them when they visit places like this really saddens me.

… It seems to me like they just did this to make fun of and degrade Polish people. Like the Goat thing is cute and they’re just nitpicking. Also it was really trashing a dude willing to give a space to someone for free? No way would you find that in America.

i don't mean to generalise but as a polish person living in england the waya lot of british people treat polish people and culture is a bit sickening, and this is a perfect example of that. ive been called xenophobic slurs, had my name mocked, culture mocked etc by biritsh people, a lot. and its obviously not shocking that some out of touch tory twits would take this to the extreme.

Wherever we went abroad as a family, my parents would never stay in tourist spots as we hate brits abroad. When I was in magaluf I tried speaking Spanish and suddenly I was known by most restaurants, I couldn't really but I think the fact I tried was enough. And in Australia I literally paid to stay in a shack so I am not fussy 🤣 i love getting to know the culture and learning about different ways of life its refreshing to see. But I was brought up traveling and I was so lucky to experience so much. Traveling is not a right its a privilege, my dad never flew before he met my mum and barely any of my freinds could afford this. Honestly I think anyone with that attitude should just be banned from traveling its rude and disrespectful, until they learn to be more open and willing to learn stay at home.

I recently moved to Poland to Ireland, to live with my polish bf and I can't imagine treating Poland like that. Yeah it's fun to have more money when you exchange the currency, but it's no reason to make fun of polish economy. I've lived in it, made money in it and struggled in it just a few months ago. To see people making light of it and treating my country as a discount store is disgusting
