We should have more events so we can get gems, because they became really essential now to get alot of stuff. And getting them after doing attacks would be great.

i had 8k gems just laying around because i really didnt want to spend my gems on the punchable goblin and didnt see any other use so i never used them. Now im glad because i can spend it and it gives my infinit help with upgrading my heros before every new war.

There should be another way to earn gem other that achievements and removing obstacles, maybe give 10 gems whenever you get the star bonus

The problem with gems is that you save them for the 5 builders but once you get the fifth builder hut you only use them for the goblin builder or the store but now with the apprentice builder taking 6500 gems to fully upgrade. You tend to stop caring

I think tye BA is getting to much hate, yes its pricey but its ment to proggress through the town halls. I think if it had a price reduction of 5000 or less it would be a great addition. The BA was ment as a way to speed up building and use spare gems on the side.

Honestly, I think it is a good addition to the game. Perhaps the gym cost could be lowered down to 5000 to fully max out the builders apprentice. At max level three uses takes one whole day off of an upgrade so every three days is one day removed. You can really shave a lot of time of upgrades like that.

I never spent my gems myself. I only bought the builders and had all 5 at th8. When the update came out i was sitting at 7.5k and couldnt even max it out yet, but i get that others spent the gems because of the goblin builder, and its just a sneaky trick to get people to pay more

ive been a casual for awhile, and i play like maybe 5 minutes per day and i don't see this as an issue. I haven't spent a single cent on the game, and in a year and a half ish of playing and removing obstacles, using an almost max gem mine, and doing challenges for the gems, I have all 5 builder huts, 5 of the 1500 gem skins for the heroes, and am already at level 5 for the apprentice builder

Supercell probably might add more Builder Apprentice to the game in the future. And probably move them into the builder huts. That way each builder hut will have 1 normal builder and 1 builder apprentice.

at one point i had over 7k gems as a f2p. decided that might as well spend some of it and spent around 3.5k on skins, books and runes and then they add this. pretty sure they'll add more stuff to do with gems now

I did not understand his point about goblin builder at all, it is way cheaper to use him then buying books , it also get benefit from builders potions, it is definitely not bad addition at all. Maybe if your hero building time takes 7 days you could argue, but it is very good option for people who do not have close to max TH and very high level heroes !

8 hours is nothing compared to the amount of time my buildings needs to be done even i would rather wait than spend 6500 gems. It still feel like a scam.

f2p players here and I just maxed out the builder apprentice and still have leftover gems, I never use my gems on goblin builder, skins or deco, to me goblin builder is for players who regularly purchase gems or offers from the store and content creators so I never use goblin builder, as for skins and deco, I never buy them using gems because I don't care about flashy skins and I'm already satisfied with the deco that pop up for free

Besides apprentices cost, it is just not worth it for me personally, I already have to struggle to keep up with 7 builders and all the books and hammers I get from events, shop. You need to time your use on every reset to get max value out of him, which seems ridiculous thing to manage and I do not even consider myself casual player. It works only on 1 building and it has 1h duration, combined with time being wasted if you do not use him and 17 h being taken for building you will have to do mental gymnastics to make sure you have building with 17h + and that you will be there when building finishes. You can calculate as much as you want, but I promise you there will be very few people who use him even close to optimal level.

I think the way of calculating the builders apprentiece via gobling builder is fundamentally flawed. It should be calculated via how fast you are able to acquire those gems as a casual f2p player

so.. let me just say something. i have 2 completely f2p close to max th11 accounts and after spending 3000 gems on giant gauntlet and frozen arrow equipments and after that i still had 4000 gems that i used to buy and upgrade the apprentice builder to lvl 4 which is the max lvl at th11 and i still have 700 gems... i olso have a close to max th16 account that had 200 gems when the update got released and now i have 400 just few days after the update.. and i can promise you that i will max the apprentice builder before th 17 gets released without spending real money to buy gems. (i will update this comment when i do) so for all those noobs complaining about how expensive it is i just need to say: uninstall your game and go play candy crush🤡

My take is this: People want to use heroes when they are upgrading and SC has stated that it’s far to lucrative to do that so they will need to find other ways to make that money to make it possible. My gems go towards clan donations and the occasional goblin builder. I agree with others, 6,500 gems is too much. 5,000 should be a good number. He is only level 2 on my main account and will stay there for a while.
