Yup... Crazy thing is we got a good deal compared to what we'd pay closer to DC.

We paid several thousand to have our huge trees limbed up from over our home a few years ago. Willow oaks have a habit of dropping limbs and we just put on a new roof. We decided to remove the whole limb and keep the natural shape instead of rounding over the whole tree which butchers the tree and makes weak growth. I am glad you decided to remove the whole tree. I wanted to but he didn't so this was the compromise. It is going to look very nice and give you an opportunity to plant smaller but perfect-sized trees to have that shade and hammock spot maybe even fruit trees.
