@@jaxson6133 Klopps not perfect nobody is , but I think when Klopp started getting involved in who’s in and out that prevented further big trophies. I think he pretty much admitted his mistake end of last season . Which left us having to make a big amount of signings in a short period instead of at the right times under edwards. Interestingly enough edwards main target Ruben Amorim loves someone above running that side so could be a good set up going forward again next season

Salah, Firmino, Mane - like a 3 way Ying Yang. Rarely ever all three perfect at the same time, but 2 of the three would always give us an 8 performance. The current 5 - at times they've all been good, or very good. But the pressure that Jota would put on Diaz, Nunez and Salah to perform better was lost when he got injured. Gakpo started brightly, but faded this year. Largely down to being played as the 5th choice. He's performing better now than at any stage this season, but he's not as good as 12 months ago. We will never get our fab 3 back, but hopefully Edwards and co. can find the new gaffer a forward or two who can improve what we have right now. Dare I say it, I felt I was proven wrong when Salah started 2023-24 so well, but I'm now thinking we ought to have cashed in on him last summer. It's probably somewhere in the middle, in reality, but that wins nobody any trophies.

The triple subs felt like the right choice but at the cost of the wrong players. We needed more numbers back when Ali had the ball. It was easy to press the back 4 and man mark the midfield. Forward players took it in turns to come deep individually so it was easy to track and press. Forwards were distant and isolated when we played it long and there was never multiple option when playing from the back

@@lostagain7292 should of kept Diaz and Salah on. Despite them not having the best 45 mins they still gave us width and options to get up the pitch. I wanted to see Nunez and Jota up top and Elliot and Gravenberch in the 8’s. Both of them naturally want to carry the ball up the pitch and beat a man and they are decent at winning second balls. The only time we was in their half was when we was facing our own goal passing the ball back to the back line or we played it long to people who were isolated and had no one to knock it on to. It’s frustrating because it’s simple things that can be resolved during the game yet the same thing happened time and time again

It’s not a shock or unexpected the tie was already over. Klopp has brought great memories to Liverpool and brought the Champions League and Premier League back to Anfield, when we were the greatest team in Europe. I thought after the League Cup win, it would help us kick on and win the Europa League, maybe league. Though after FA Cup game, reds fallen off a cliff. No energy or urgency to get a goal, other than Trent tonight. Scouser in our team, means a lot to him and Alisson world class in goal again. Makes a massive difference with his calmness for clean sheets. Curtis Jones and Gakpo absolute shite, don’t look good enough to play for Liverpool. I don’t know why Klopp kept them on the pitch and took Salah, Lucho, Trent and Robertson off instead. Some bizarre bad tactical decisions from Klopp last few games.

Elliott must be going crazy, the lad has been our most consistant player, Klopps style is performances full of energy and Elliott is that, When he plays for the England U21 his unreal and needs that creative freedom in our team. The only players that should be feeling some fatigue are Diaz, Endo, Mac and VVD - the rest should'nt they been on the sidelines.

Unfortunately Paul this was an embarrassing evening. I am drained since the united defeat at fa cup that was at st paddys day. A month of high and low rollercoaster, high and low of performances and a manager that leaving our club is givinf us a low feeling especially after tonight. I know we have 6 games left, however i believe that we are going to struggle yet alone win the league. Klopp deserves a proper send off like a quadruple send off, but that dream has been crumbled. What a sad way to end his last season.
