If I remember correctly, you should be able to redirect the changing stairs by moving towards the direction you want them to go to. Just hop on a moving one and go towards the other side and it will rotate back even in the middle of a rotation. It's been ages since I played this game, though.

With the exploding snap game you played, there are color borders around the back of each card. It makes it a lot easier to guess the matches that way and once you match all the easier color borders like the gray silver and gold then you just have to worry about the bronze ones.

I really miss the locations in this game. Legacy is an amazing upgrade, but the way the areas look in the films still feel iconic. Especially the Grand Staircase. And Diagon Alley... And The Burrow... Godric's Hollow... okay I'll stop now.

Just wanted to let you know: this game is an upgrade from the PS2 version. That's why there are no new systems yet. Also, the square icon in the forest near the hut, indicated more footprints, not to speak to Ron. 🪄
