With the block wall built up to the height of the steel beams, we were able to finally build across the hallway joining both sides of the addition together. Now we're going higher! Structural posts need to be installed for the next beam that will lead us to our biggest project yet- the ridge beam. We've had our hands full both at home and in Romney at candle company where we've been working together with our team to craft thousands of hand-poured candles. Our life is a beautiful blend of business, life on the farm and balancing the easy parts of the build with the dangerous.

Our candles are made with the highest quality materials on the market and hand-poured carefully in the shop. We use eco-friendly soy wax, cotton core wicks, and the finest quality oils. They are lead free, phthalate free, paraffin free, and dye free. Soy candles burn incredibly clean and slow while throwing a wonderful scent for hours! I’ll never quit loving watching the way you two work together. I remember writing a poem one time years ago, after I watched an episode where Erin had started learning how to weld. I think that because Erin has never stepped back, but always wanted to delve deeply herself into whatever project was before the two of them is what has captured her in the hearts of many men who watch her whose wives aren’t as excited or desirous of learning the things that most men have to do. Needless to say, Erin and Josh make up a super strong team of quality builders!

To be frank, Josh & Ellen, make an absolute mockery of all the "woke" nonsense that seems to be sweeping across the USA currently. You can't dispute who's the "man" and the "woman" in the relationship, but both are prepared to do whatever it takes to get their goals achieved - that's teamwork and what a marriage is all about! Hey Josh, it may be too late, but grab a Diablo metal cutting blade for your circular saw and it will zip right through that plate… save you a ton of time and wear/tear on your big saw and batteries. Been watching from the beginning….You guys are awesome, love everything you do.

Diablo makes a blade for the circular saw that chews though steel like butter. For a demo, look for Lexi Abreu. An eletrition from New York. She attended the concrete world in Vegas. On the second day vlog, a few minutes in, is from Diablo's booth where they demonstrate it.

He probably won't read this but yes that blade will cut hundreds of inches of 1/2" steel with no effort . I have used them and they are way better than a plasma cutter and so convenient too as to cut metal anywhere .

A small portable metal band saw would have made sense also. You can always find uses for that down the road. Especially if later you get a small stand for it. I just bought the Harbor Freight model for DIY stuff.

When you dont have the equipment, the best way to get bulk plates is let the steel mill press/cut them. It's worth the few extra $$ to avoid the headache, time, and extra tool cost.

I love supporting a local small business, the problem I have is that where I live (western Canada 🇨🇦) the shipping costs more than the price of the candle. Josh, try using a 12AH or 8AH battery with that saw. They are a little pricey but almost needed for the bigger tools. You will probably get 4 times the cuts time on those tough cuts. Keep up the great video!

As you being a farmer a plasma cutter will come in handy for making parts for your farm equipment it also starts becoming cheaper making hearts then going out and buying parts
