We're moving into our new house on base!! We're so excited to give you an empty house tour and show you what military base housing looks like on Marine Corps Base Quantico! This is definitely the best military family housing we've lived in. It's been a crazy PCS journey and it honestly felt like we'd never get here. We hope you enjoy and are just as excited as we are!! :) So sorry it's taken us so long to update ya'll, and forgive us for the abrupt ending, buuttt.. we're back! I hope you guys liked seeing our empty tour of military base housing!! We love living on base. The housing here on Marine Corps Base Quantico is beautiful and so much bigger than what we had grown used to on Camp Pendleton. I'm curious, does your family prefer living in military base housing or off base? What do you feel are the pros/cons of living on a military base? I still can't believe we survived our PCS! Moving across the country with the military was definitely an experience! I'm just happy to finally be moving in to the new house.

We’re moving to Quantico in August and it’s my first time living in on base housing, I was a little nervous about what the move in process looked like but seeing this video helped a ton! They do a good jobs of cleaning and everything looks like it’s in great condition. Thanks for the video!

Thank you for the tour, the happiest time of my life was in Venable Village on Fort Hood 1974 to 1979. No matter how old I get my memories always go back to those time.

We’ve bounced back and forth between Quantico and Lejeune. Currently in Lejeune but we’ve been told it’s back to Quantico. We miss it ! It’s been such a back and fourth journey lol. But we are both from Florida

Quantico how exciting I am from Virginia that would be a great duty station if we were a marine family I do have a nephew that is stationed there we are an army family though. we are here at joint base Lewis McCord in this isn't even the furtherest we have been. we have been stationed in Korea, Puerto Rico and Germany so I consider anything in the continental United States of close to home😄 It is Always exciting to leave lodging and have your own place congratulations!

So thankful I found this video. We are about to PCS to Quantico but from Lejeune where there are so many horror stories of living on base. We have never lived on base before but Quantico seems to be super expensive to rent and we all know the timelines of moving always change so building a house is looking like a nightmare and not feasible to get done before we're there. Do you still enjoy living on base there and what was your check-out process from base housing when you left Pendleton?

We do still love living on base!! Definitely enjoying it here - the housing is great. Especially for the area, we truly feel that we’re getting so much for our money by living on base. You can’t find anything in town that’s within BAH and compares to the size of houses here. I Check out process for housing on Pendleton was a breeze. They do a “pre-inspection” where they walk through the house and note any damages done to the property (if there is any) and will give you an estimate of your move out charges. You pay a fee if the house isn’t clean or if you’ve left anything damaged. But that’s all there is to it. There’s always horror stories for living on base, but we’ve always had a fairly pleasant experience. When you get here, the housing office will give you a move-in sheet. You’ll walk through the house and make note of any pre-existing damages or flaws. Go crazy on that sheet!! We always note everything even if it seems minuscule. You don’t want them to pin it on you at move out.

Very nice house that is pretty huge for military housing. I’m glad you like it. I take it you’re a marine because you mentioned Pendleton and I’ve heard of camp Pendleton I think that’s in California that’s OK My dad was in the Air Force for 26 years and retired chief Master Sergeant for years navy prior to that for a total of 30 years military himself. And I’ll go ahead and subscribe to you so I can learn or see more of your military videos.

My fiance is stationed in Quantico and we're debating between living off of base vs. on base. Do you recommend the housing on base? Do you find that the management is efficient?

Yes! We definitely recommend it. Housing here is the best military housing we’ve seen so far. You get so much for your money by living on base. BAH rates will most likely only get you an apartment or townhome off base. Which is fine - but with our dogs and lifestyle, we prefer a larger home with a yard! And the management here is much better than what we’ve been used to. They respond quickly and always seem eager to help. We’ve been very impressed!

How does one Marine get based in Quantico? I’m planning on joining the marines, with also getting my MD in Criminology/Criminal Psychology, since my 2 goals are wanting to be a Marine and Special Agent in the FBI. I’m just asking because I would love to have the convenience to ask questions. What MOS do you need?
