As someone from rural area of Kohat IRL. I love how this map depicts the reality. The first thing everyone do is to rush to the hilltops. Easier to defend the villages from there. But if you failed to defend the hilltop. Well then it's GG to the opponent as it's way easier to just mortar and rain down bullets on the villages. Btw happy thanksgiving to my north american friends ;)

This is what i miss. Support bases like that. It was perfect. Has a final stand just once. 4 of my teammates left in a compound. Mortars coming down. Gun fire everywhere. Think only me and one other guy survived and the enemy team ran out of tickets.

Watching this with Xreal Air2 AR/AX glasses. Absolutely amazing expefienc. I can't wait to get my new gaming PC after nigh a year without Squad. I feel the ICO update has really made Squad the game it was meant to become! Squad is amazing on an ultrawide in 1440p with 120hz, but I'm curious about the experience playing Squad on these glasses (even though they are only 1080p) but also 120 hz)

Find a nice squad leader, tell him you’re new and ask him what do to (occasionally, don’t pester). Pick rifleman and resupply the anti tank and everyone will be your friend.

I have a great concept for the Ukrainian/Collective Militia Forces or CMF. It would just be irregular forces with NATO/Irregular armaments (similar to Turkish forces) mostly AK platforms perhaps some AKMs, thinking maybe a .338 sniper platform, LAT could have single load smart rockets with top down shooting capability on stationary targets (limit to single capacity) javelin HAT for specialist (think a mobile TOW. Animation to place a mounting device, then ADS and ~3.5 second lock time with top armor weaknesses to take); distinctive camis with basic activewear (hiking/cargo pants and surplus military gear), would love to see another variant of the GL light vehicle with a techie pickup with backseat armor fronted GL. Think it could add another layer to vehicle -> infantry combat. Possible secondary smoke rounds for GL. Last but not least, Commander assets with drone capable of RG3 grenade strikes at >25m of vertical clearance from ground. Need to arm physically with a squad mate that has grenade in kit. Precision air strike and standard artillery package. Bada Bing Bada boom

I love the ICU, but out of curiosity, does anyone else feel like the US forces have a major disadvantage with their majority burst-fire weapons? I always feel like I'm fighting with one arm tied behind my back in CQB when going against a faction with full-auto rifles. I know a couple rifleman kits have full auto. Not saying they should get the MCX Spear or anything crazy like that, but from what my vet friends tell me they phased out the majority of A2 and A4s years and years back. Feels out of sync with some of the other factions to me. Just my two cents.

In theory, the one advantage to burst fire is a predictable amount of recoil. Ful auto might burst 2 rounds or 4 rounds, so it's hard to get a steady rhythm and rely on muscle memory to aim. Burst fire can be really accurate and controllable because it's so consistent.

i recall him saying at some point he wont add it, because it makes it difficult for new players to try vehicle combat. Since armour players have a habit of claiming every vehicle on the server 0.0001 seconds after loading in, meaning often you'll get 3-4 matches in a row where only the same tiny group of people ever get to play armour. Not ideal for a server " _committed to helping new players learn how to play_ ".

@@zewydk new players wont learn how to play armor properly if theres no one good enough to guide them, a good 70% of the time its a solo good armor squad leader who just needs a driver and a gunner or commander, just letting a crew of all newbies into armor isnt a good idea.
