Great job guys, as always :) I love this song. The line where Nate says " Sit in the living room with kids of my own" always makes me cry, knowing now that Nate has a little guy of his own. I think he should be about 1 now. If anything in the world could keep him focusing on the good things in his life, and reason to stay, its him.

Ohhh, this song... I was married for 29 years before covid took my wife August 2021. She has 2 great kids, we adopted her niece and was guardian over her other niece until she was an adult. This song hits home for me so hard. If you want love you are committing yourself to the heartache, pain, sadness to not only yourself but the ones around you. If you want trust you have to KNOW that your kids are going to take what you passed down to them, what you taught them and make it their own because they will have kids of their own. A person really doesn't know who they effected unless they actually take the time to look at the ones they taught. Never think your actions, your words, and the way people see you isn't noticed because it is. I do not know everything, and I am not the smartest person in the world but I will say this, believe in yourself and continue to live because you never know who or how you will effect someone just by being you. Love ,what a difficult thing.But if you want love you have to live with the pain and to understand that some things are beyond you and your control. As a mother of three children ,seeing the image of the child reaching out to mom to take his first step my eyes are watering. But ,someday ,the day will come when our children will spread their wings and they will fly away. This is the destiny of humans. It will hurt but I won't be able to control it. Just like when the parents leave the life and the children are left behind. You learn to live with the pain that this love of loss causes you. Sorry for the long comment, I got carried away. Love this song! His songs just speak to me on such an emotional level. I have trouble emotional attaching myself people and fully trusting myself, my heart, my LIFE with another individual that isn't my family. I'm very independent and have a hard time allowing others to help. I like being in charge and just doing it myself. His words, his experiences help show me my faults and help me through my life.
