Love this video, I could watch this guy all day I love him.. I dont have a saker but I just bought a Tanburo 8" brushless mini chainsaw... Im still getting used to it . We have a property very similar, 5 acres with lots of trees, shrubs and orchards... Im hoping that this saw I have will be able to do what I bought it for... I intend to top & lop a lot of my trees (fingers crossed). I have a multi fuel stove and burn mainly wood and coal.. we are still in Winter here in the UK. Just subscribed and cant wait to review the other videos you have.. keep up the good work. much love and blessings from England. :-)

I just bought an 8" cordless 2-in-1 pole saw/ chainsaw from Amazon. I spent several hours and looked at just about every 8" and 6" combo there, including this Saker. I wanted a fast chain speed ( relatively speaking ), and I wanted the mini to have a chain oiler. The chain speeds were all over the place; from around 16 ft/sec up to 25.6ft/sec. Many did not have an oil reservoir which was a deal breaker for me. I wanted the mini to have an oiler because I have a lot of small limbs along a fence line and at other places, and I didn't want to have to carry a bottle of oil and have to manually oil the chain every couple of minutes; which is important if you will be cutting a lot of branches ( if just a couple of branches and that's all, then you could get by without oiling the chain, but the chain would need a good oiling before next time ). That criteria eliminated many minis for me, including this Saker in this video. The 2-in-1 that I bought has a chain speed of 25.6ft/sec and has an oiler. The oil reservoir has a little pump bulb that you have to push a few times to get the oil on the chain, but I think it's better than carrying a bottle of oil and having to stop frequently to put oil on the chain. Just like the saying: " right tool for the job". My choice was the right tool for my needs and isn't necessarily what you might have need of.

@@dl6317 I finally chose the Imoumlive 2-in-1 pole saw/chainsaw with the 8" bar. I used it this past weekend on several large Oak limbs that were 7 inches in diameter. I then cut the downed limbs into shorter lengths that I took to the burn pile. After I finished, I still had 3 full charge lines on the battery. I am happy with my choice.

@@marbleman52 I'm a fan of the bulb pumps too, was it easy to keep it oiled? Did it burn through a lot of oil?

@@dl6317 Hi....yes it was easy to keep it oiled. I have some regular chainsaw oil, 10 wt. that I use for my electric chainsaw that works good. The oil seemed to stay on the little chain a good while. Every link has a small hole by which it is supposed to help hold onto the oil ( as it says in the description ), and I think it does. Also, these 21 Volt battery-operated chains just don't spin as fast as a gas chain saw does and which slings a lot of oil from simple centrifugal force. After I was through cutting and refilled the little reservoir, it took very little to refill. So, I would call that a good sign. Now I'm gonna do my part and use my air hose to blow off the little saw and keep it from possibly clogging up the oil hole.

We ended up with one of these when a family member passed away, I used it to cut a fallen log that was probably around 12" in diameter. Had to cut down one side then the other and it didn't hiccup or have any issues the entire time

I purchased this from Amazon March 9, 2023. I was able to trim 4 Crepe Myrtles and thought it was great. After successfully trimming the Crepe Myrtles, I put it away and didn’t use it again. Today is April 21, 2024. I was prepared to trim the Crepe Myrtles again. After ensuring both batteries were fully charged, I went to use the chainsaw and nothing. I mean absolutely nothing. I tried both batteries and still nothing. So disappointed. After taking it apart to se if anything was wrong. Still nothing. After one use on 4 Crepe Myrtles, the saw is going in the trash a year later.
