I mean, it is. It's not a 1:1 thing but there's definitely overlap in the media that depicts those two things. Same deal with how plenty of adults wear sailor uniforms in cosplay pornography, but the uniform itself is associated with relatively young women and girls.

Ya’ll, I did a j-fashion show with her last year at an anime con. It was my first one ever and seeing her in person had me STARSTRUCK. Especially since I thought she was just going to be a special guest but I didn’t know I was going to be modeling alongside her as well. I was so nervous, she’s so pretty like a real life doll. I’m happy to have learned more about her through this! 💗 Wish for her and the rest of the lolita/harajuku fashion community the best and to keep thriving and inspiring others like it did so for me!

The boys bring up a good point about the malls. I'm fortunate enough to have had a mall rat phase and had something to do with friends while growing up. So many of the malls near me at least started implementing curfews on weekends for under 18 kids because there were a lot of fights and other disturbances. All it takes is someone to ruin it for everyone else, but it does bring to attention how there's a lack of third places now. It doesn't seem good for long term mental health and growth having a lack of places to go to for fun as kids.

A number go by the "white ruffled shirt and black trousers" for the vampire enthusiasts and vintage-esque styles today. I think the turtleneck sweater (and casual smart looks in general) on Garnt's is sleek. Connor feels natural in suits. Joey is vibing in Harajuku styles. 1:18:32 That reminds me of Joey's pet peeve about people wearing band shirts that they're not even a fan or aware of.

1:25:20 Many departments stores/malls/shopping centers the have tailoring service in their clothing departments... Especially for suits... They will adjust the clothes for you... Often within the same day or in 20,30 mins... You can also often find tailors service in laundry mat. (Not too sure if this us true in Japan) I always have my pants shorten... I have short legs... But my waist is not so small....
