They didn't mention when you get the stall that has the crappy or broken lock. You feel like at any moment the door going to swing open by itself or some stranger is going to accidentally invade your privacy.

They aren’t public bathrooms. They are cleaned etc by the building owners. Public toilets are cleaned and maintained by the city itself

I saw a bathroom that had toilet seat covers, was SUPER clean, had THREE hooks on the doors, trash can in every stall, only 5 stalls, 5 sinks, paper towels AND air dryers! Easily the BEST bathroom I have EVER seen!

Yes! Bryant Park's bathroom is my favorite bathroom, too. When you go at night, there's barely any line, though I think it's not open on the weekends (?) past 11 PM.

I've traveled a lot and the most vile, disgusting, nastiest public restroom I have ALMOST used was in Union Station in Washington, D.C. Think 1,000 harried commuters from the furthest suburbs coming in to Washington every 15 minutes, all the bums sleeping in the station to escape the cold, a janitorial strike and a severe toilet paper shortage. 🤢🤢🤢

The one in Bryant Park is really nice and clean. They have attendants and plastic covers on the seats that automatically change to a clean one after you flush

Libraries! S benefit of having access to a public library system in large cities (I live in Chicago) is that they have the cleanest bathrooms, plus they is usually one that isn't too far from wherever you're at.
