It disturbs me somewhat that owls are nocturnal birds and the day is when they want to sleep in a shadowy place, not be petted by strangers in a bright white room....

As a Japanese person, I'm ashamed of practices like this being so common. I've come across many videos of regular people owning otters, owls, prairie dogs, etc. without doing proper research of the animals' needs. I feel like people just buy them at pet shops just because they're cute, very irresponsible. Please do not encourage people to go to cafes like this, I think it's only appropriate when the cafe is advocating for the adoption of social dogs and cats (no small animals!).

Not all owls are nocturnal, many are diurnal, you can tell by the color of their eyes if they are nocturnal or diurnal. The ones with orange and yellow eyes are generally nocturnal. But in truth it really makes no difference, because regardless of whether they are nighttime hunters or daytime hunters, most specious are solitary animals that do not want interaction with humans, and they deserve better than being chained to a stand all day in a brightly lit room to be entertainment for humans.

Those poor owls! It is so bright in there. If the café wants owls it should be designed like the Blue Bayou in Disneyland to always be at night. Even so, so many captives. A room that size isn't big enough for even one owl.

Keeping wild animals in captivity is truly cruel! It's like imprisoning a person who has done nothing! These should fly in the wild! Do not encourage people to visit this kind of place! It's like the shows of orcas in captivity where they make them do acrobatics! Do they put on that kind of show in the wild!? Nope! The only place an animal can be placed in captivity is when it needs care! After healing he is released and if the healing still cannot allow him to return to nature, there are special shelters that place them in conditions that resembles their natural environment as much as possible! They are not exploited and do not put on shows!

Most owls are usually seen at night, but there’s also a number of species which come out during the daytime too. Honestly I’m more concerned about how they are tied to a post with other owl species 24/7. Most owls are solitary by nature, and usually only mix with owls of the same species. It must be a very stressful environment for them

Jesus what an awful existence it must be for these owls. Owls are solitary animals by nature, and having them around many different species of owls 24/7 must be a very stressful ordeal for them. It’s even worse as they are chained, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have never even felt what it’s like to fly. They should be living in huge aviaries with owls of the same species or their mate, or better yet be free in the wild

I have dealt with birds of prey before they eat dead prey like mice and small birds that can carry disease thats why in falconry a heavy leather glove is worn the owl holds onto its prey with its sharp talons so getting scratched is not advised there talons could be septic. Also they could spread disease from one bird to the next and this is a eatery has no one learned there lesson in the last two years!

Совы в основном,, одеты,, в пух но не в перья.Это значит , что совы - птенцы, дети или подростки , такие совы менее безопасны для людей. Запусти людей в кафе со взрослыми совами , у людей были бы травмы.

This is so sad . Let these creatures live freely in their natural habitat. This should not be allowed.

These are not good for the birds. Please don't let such a fad continue, friends. Please read up on it: do not simply take my word for it. ♡ Blessings to you all.

I just think these owl cafes are terrible keeping these birds in unnatural conditions for the enjoyment of people. Birds are meant to fly and be free.
