A cliché plot where Megamind has to team up with Metroman would be so much better than some wanna be villains doing non villainous things

This movie already pissed me off the moment when the trailer for it said “Megamind is back and you’re welcome” while giving this sorry excuse for a movie

Just to be clear: THIS IS NOT A MOVIE! This is a cheap TV Pilot/Spinoff to a terrible TV Show and I'm tired of people comparing it to Dreamworks' Roster such as HTTYD or Shrek. This 'movie' does not have the budget or theatrical release and doesnt even have the MAN ON THE MOON in the logo to be considered a movie compared to KFP4, it should more so be compared to the TV Shows like 2000s Penguins/Trolls shows, which it is even garbage by those standards. People gotta stop referring to this as a full fledged Dreamworks movie, it does not deserve it.

Hearing Megamind call Minion “Chum” is horrible

Megamind has giant robots on demand, an army of brain bots, the disguise watch, an insta kill dehidration laser gun, the super serum he took from Titan, the sun laser and a decked out invisible car. Why is he "oh I gotta think of a way to defeat these guys"? Just drop a mech on them

It's funny that they keep mentioning Miraculous Ladybug because the plot of having the mc pretend to be a villain to a group of actual villains to protect their city from them is something i've read in a miraculous fanfic back in 2018

The thing that bothers me the most is that it doesn’t follow the plot of the first movie at all. Megamind has always been alone. It was literally stated in the first movie his only friend is Minion. Yet in this movie he apparently had an “Old Crew” which goes against everything the first movie told us about Megamind’s character.

Here's something I would have done if I was given the task to make a megamind sequel first things first I would re-watch the original film 2 to 3 different times so I can get a really good grasp on what the concept of megamind is about Then I would bring in the Doom syndicate into the sequel but give them a new origin story making the megamind video game not canon to the franchise at all which is perfectly fine since nobody really played it or cared about it Possibly give them new designs to make them more intimidating as villains And give them a new origin story an origin story that could be as simple as this One of the members of the Doom syndicate could be a scientist while other folks could be random civilians who happen to have gotten power similar to that of what we see in the actual sequel itself but they actually look interesting The first try to use their powers to mess with megamind and then they tried to take it a step further of trying to take over the city and possibly the entire world and megamind and his new crew have to stop him For that girl character who's meant to be a sidekick I do one of two things either write her out of the story entirely or try to make her either be a parody of the sidekick archetype while also making her an interesting character in her own right that makes her worthy of being part of this new team megamind tries to form with her and Roxanne along with minion speaking of him I would also have him keep his name Another thing I would do is that if I want to make it as a sequel where it expands upon the themes and ideas that the first film did I would take the themes of the first film did and expand on them without contradicting the original themes and characterizations of how the characters were in the first movie (basically not pulling a Toy story 4) I will expand upon its themes and ideas that the original film had did without making the characters feel out of character or without retreading the same ground That is probably what I would do if I were to be given the task of making a true megamind sequel it probably won't be perfect but it'll at least be something Even if I wouldn't have the budget of the first movie to work on a project like this I would at least put some form of care into it as not only a standalone movie but as a true sequel to megamind if I were to be given that task I hope you had the time to read this and I hope you guys really liked what I have to say 😁

This movie is proof that when something gets popular the studios that made it don’t always understand why Dreamworks probably saw all the popularity around the 1st megamind movie and thought “oh people like megamind, so if we make a megamind sequel we’ll make even more money.” Completely forgetting that the reason we liked the original wasn’t because of megamind but it was basically a dissection of superhero movies and because they asked the question. “what if the bad guy didn’t want to be the bad guy but was forced to be that way because of circumstances out of his control.”
